Overall, we had a very good stay at Hotel del Borgo. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the general atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant. We also liked the location, even though the beach was around 15 to 20 minutes away on foot with a child. In general, our impression of the hotel was very positive and we enjoyed our holiday.
The only thing that left a negative impression was the minibar/fridge situation. When we arrived, the minibar was full with water, Coca-Cola, Fanta and other drinks. It was also refilled every day, so we honestly thought it was included in the room price, as this has been our experience in some other hotels.
We later found out at checkout that these drinks were not free, and we had to pay around €60-70 extra. There may have been information about this in the folder in the room, but we only used that folder to find the Wi-Fi password and did not realise the minibar was chargeable.
What made it more confusing is that there was a clear notice on the fridge saying not to put food inside, but there was no equally clear notice saying that the minibar was not free. A simple label on the fridge, such as “Minibar is not included” or “Drinks are chargeable”, would have avoided the misunderstanding.
Apart from this, everything else was good, but this unexpected charge at the end of the stay left an unpleasant aftertaste.

Pulizia camera approssimativa, colazione a buffet con prodotti del supermercato, ma bisogna svegliarsi presto: nessuno si preoccupa di rimpiazzare quello che finisce, né tantomeno di chiedere se per caso desiderate qualcosa. State alla larga dal caffè.

Very good Location for exploring Cinque Terre and other Towns like Camogli by train. Free shuttle Bus to the beach and back.

Very thin walls. You can hear every single word from your neighbors. Luckily they weren’t too loud. Breakfast was ok.
