Al hacer el check in y pagar me cobraron 200€ más de la tarifa como garantía, esto no estaba en las condiciones que me envío Booking al hacer la reserva, me quedé estupefacta, según el hotel es un depósito de garantía, no sé si temerian que marchase con la tabla de planchar o similar, la habitación salíamos a visitar la ciudad a las 10 de la mañana y volvimos a las 4 de la tarde con una ola de calor de 40 grados y la habitación estaba sin arreglar y el baño la goma de la mampara estaba bastante sucia, en resumen no volvería nunca al Marriott, un hotel de 5 estrellas que no las merece, sólo tiene buena fachada, el resto deja mucho que desear,es la 6 vez que voy a Berlín me gusta cambiar de hoteles para conocer todas las zonas y nunca tuve un trato peor que aquí.

Cons:

Check-in and check-out took a very long time due to long queues. This was particularly surprising because there appeared to be at least six employees around the reception area, but only one or two of them were actually assisting guests at any given time. Check-in alone took around 30 minutes.
I was also unexpectedly asked to pay a deposit for my stay, which I found unusual and poorly communicated. I had not been clearly informed about this in advance, and there was no proper explanation as to when or how the deposit would be returned. It also seemed that other guests checking in before me were not asked to pay the same deposit. I have stayed in both better and worse hotels, and I have never previously been asked to pay such a deposit upon check-in. This is not what I would expect from a respectable hotel.
Another concerning issue was the housekeeping. It was very obvious that the cleaning staff had moved and rearranged our personal belongings. This felt intrusive, as this is not something that is normally done in hotels unless necessary. It gave the impression that our belongings had been checked or handled unnecessarily.
