absoltely nothing
I´ve stayed at many 5* hotels over the years, but this was, without question, THE worst experience I have ever had.
I specifically booked a room for 3 adults (Couple + 16y Teen). Before arriving, I contacted the hotel to confirm that the room would have 3 proper beds, not a sofa bed or a temporary folding bed. The hotel reassured me that everything would be fine. However, upon arrival, the third "bed" was nothing more than an improvised rollaway bed, completely different from what had been promised.
I raised the issue with the management, expecting them to either provide the room I had confirmed or offer a reasonable solution. They did absolutely nothing. There was no attempt to resolve the problem, no apology, and no concern for customer satisfaction.
The service at breakfast was equally disappointing. Several staff members were cold, unfriendly, and made us feel unwelcome rather than valued as guests.
To make matters even worse, our room was mysteriously left uncleaned on two separate days. After the overall treatment we received, it honestly felt intentional, almost as if the hotel wanted to make our stay uncomfortable and encourage us to leave.
At the end of our stay, I kindly asked a late checkout. The request was denied without any flexibility, yet the room next to ours was granted one. It was difficult not to feel that we were being treated differently from other guests.
This was the first time in my life that I have felt so poorly treated by 5* hotel. The entire experience was frustrating, disappointing, and far below the standards I have always associated with the Hilton brand.
I cannot recommend this property to anyone
Hotel lovely staff lovely
Good quick service
Location of hotel great
Nothing
We recently spent four days at the Hilton Imperial in Dubrovnik's Old Town, and to say we were disappointed with our experience would be an understatement.
Upon arrival, we informed the staff that we were celebrating our honeymoon, but this was met with little acknowledgement and we did not feel particularly welcomed.
Although our room was not ready when we arrived, we were assisted later that day by a lovely receptionist who completed our check-in professionally and warmly. Unfortunately, our disappointment returned as soon as we entered our room.
We had paid over €600 per night for a standard room. While we understood that a standard room would not offer the same features as a Deluxe or Executive room, we still expected the quality and presentation associated with a five-star hotel. Instead of enjoying even a modest view, our bedroom window looked directly onto an outdoor water tap, and the room itself appeared poorly maintained, with visible stains on the walls.
We returned to reception and spoke to the same helpful staff member, asking whether it would be possible to move to a different room or receive an upgrade. Initially, we were told that an additional charge would apply. However, when we explained that we were considering cancelling the remainder of our stay and requesting a refund, we were then offered a complimentary move to a Deluxe room the next day.
The Deluxe room was in a separate building to the hotel. It was noticeably brighter and certainly an improvement over our original room. However, the overall standard of maintenance still fell well below what we would expect from a hotel of this calibre, and it did not reflect the premium price we had paid and it was inconvenient the fact it was in a separate building.
In addition, on two separate evenings, at approximately 11:00 p.m., we returned to the hotel hoping to enjoy a drink on the terrace before retiring for the night. However, on both occasions there were no staff members at the front reception, the bar area was dark with the lights switched off, and there appeared to be no service available. This was surprising and fell well short of what we would expect from a five-star hotel.
Similarly, during our stay there were no staff members present in the pool or gym areas, which further contributed to the feeling that the level of service and attention did not match the standards associated with a luxury hotel.
The hotel's location is, without question, its greatest asset. Being just ouside Dubrovnik's Old Town was incredibly convenient, and we were especially grateful for this during the heatwave, as it provided a welcome respite from the crowds and high temperatures.
Overall, we would not choose to stay at this hotel again. We felt it was overpriced for what it offered and did not provide the level of service or experience we would expect from a five-star hotel.
Excelente localização, limpeza e maravilhoso café da manhã.
Poderia melhorar o atendimento do concierge
Everything was beautiful. Amazing location
Todo espectacular
Nada
Centrally located just outside the gate! It was our second time at this hotel ! Clean with a professional staff! Will be back again!
The bed was a bit firm! Bathrooms could use a makeover as some of the furniture!

Great location, amazing service , delicious breakfast
Bathroom is good but little bit outdated. Pool
Is nice but I expected more
The location is excellent, very easy to get around. The decor also very impressive. Breakfast options very good and my daughter enjoyed cooling down in the hotel pool.
Service, for us, was a bit mixed. It started very strongly but it is obvious, particularly at breakfast time that certain nationalities receive more attention. Either because they are more demanding naturally and so staff pay more attention or they tip more?
Room cleaning was good apart from one day when we came back to the room and the tip had been taken but the room had not been cleaned. Maybe someone other than the cleaner took the tip and she didn’t then make it back to the room to clean before we came back.
Beach towels are readily available, you simply need to ask at reception.
We had a 3rd bed added to the room, in my opinion it was too a little too small for the age (which we’d given on booking) so a little disappointing.

Staff and Spa
Spent 3 days at this hotel, starting with the pros. You really can’t beat this location, it’s about a 2 minute walk to Old town (pile gate). We really appreciated this during the heat wave when it was just too hot to stay outside. We were able to do an activity and then go back to rest at the hotel since it was so close.
The room we had was very large for European standards which I really enjoyed. The view from room 228 overlooked the roof of the next building. From the corners you could see the city walls and the ocean in the distance but your immediate view was the roof, not ideal. Other things I noticed about the room, it did have a few scuffs on the floors and walls. Could use some TLC. The other issue I had about the room was that even setting it at the coldest 17c it would not go lower than 19c (at best) brought this to the hotels attention and they said that was purposeful.
I’d give the service a 3 out of 5. The staff members I directly spoke to at the front desk were fine. But we walked past the front desk several times and most of the time there was no one manning the desk or the doors. The times I did see someone at the desk, no greeting or acknowledgement while passing. One specific incident I wasn’t a fan of was when we asked the bar for some hot water. While he ultimately gave us the hot water he had made a comment that it’s available in the room with the kettle. He should’ve been mindful that some people do not prefer to use the kettle in the room especially with the horror stories posted on social media at other hotels.
Overall, I’d give this hotel a 3.8/5 (4 stars since I can’t deduct). While the location is absolutely perfect, at $600 a night the service was lacking in addition to the issues with the room.
