The refurbished bedrooms. We had stopped staying here because it had all been looked rather tired.

It was easy to find. The staff were friendly. The bedroom was a good size and the bed comfy. Coffee making facilities were very welcome after travelling all day. Parking was good. I think the decor had been updated so it was quite modern.
The bar and restaurant meant we didn't have to drive into town to find food and drink when we were tired.
The meal, basque chicken, with green beans and chips was very good and ample. There were plenty of other options on the buffet.
The 'garden view' was disappointing. It was actually a fir hedge 2ft from the window, which made the room dark. Although it was nice and cool on a very hot day.
The toilet had a mark in the bowl. The bath was very narrow and a bit treacherous when standing in the shower over it, and it creaked.
The location was to the north of Alencon on a trading estate with parked lorries and there was nowhere nice to go for a walk.

The food served was good quality, and having a restaurant on site was a big plus.
The toilet cistern had a continuous drip, which was annoying and disturbed my sleep. My French is poor, so I didn't mention it at the time, but overall my stay was very good.
