Tree’s amazing and atmosphere is so good
Firstly, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the rubbish bins near the entrance to the women’s restroom in the lobby. There was also an unpleasant odour around the main entrance of the hotel.
Secondly, the cleanliness of the breakfast area was particularly concerning. Almost all the glasses I came across had visible marks or stains. One glass had a lipstick mark on it, while another had dried orange juice residue that had clearly not been properly cleaned. The plates also did not appear to be hygienically clean.
What concerned me the most was finding a large black strand of hair inside the mushrooms served at breakfast. The hair was not simply sitting on top of the food; it was actually inside the mushrooms, which made the experience even more unpleasant and unacceptable.
I already brought the issue of the dirty glasses to the attention of the hotel staff during my stay.
Considering the amount I paid for my accommodation, I was extremely disappointed with the hygiene standards. Hyatt Hotel Canberra is a luxury five-star hotel, not an ordinary or budget hotel, and I believe guests have every right to expect exceptional cleanliness throughout the property.
At a hotel of this standard, glasses and plates should be spotless, food should be prepared and served under strict hygiene conditions, and all public areas should be clean and free from unpleasant odours.
Although I found the hotel itself beautiful, these hygiene issues significantly affected my overall experience and left me feeling that the standard of cleanliness did not match the hotel’s reputation or the price I paid.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these concerns to ensure that future guests do not have similar experiences.

Nice hotel near just near the sea, spacious rooms, comfty bed, nice breakfeast, politely staff.
No balcony in the room altough it was shown in the pictures like a small lodgia, it was very hot ,i couldn t sleep and tried to modify the clima but it didn t work.The bath is designed very bad , with doors to the shower closing in the bathroom door, barely no space when you get out of the shower and door is not closed,also no ventilation inside the bathroom. The cleaning personal moved some personal belongings. A very big problem with the parking space, i had to search one day for half an hour to park which i don t consider normal..im not sure i will be back

Hotel in a good location, 5 minutes' walk from the city center. You can see that it is an old hotel, but it has been renovated. The rooms are spacious, clean, maids come every day. The towels are clean, but they have a gray tint, it would be good to replace them with new ones, after all, it is a 4* hotel.
If parking is important to you, think carefully about booking this hotel! The parking lot is really small compared to the size of the hotel and you have to be lucky! We booked this hotel because of the hotel parking. We paid "without refund" and when we received the hotel's email from the booking office, we wanted to reserve a parking space, but we received a reply that there were no free spaces. If we could, we would cancel, but we couldn't because the room was already paid for. We asked for advice on where to park, whether there is a closed parking lot or a garage nearby, but they just directed us to a public parking lot, they didn't bother to help us at all. We checked late every evening and there were always a few free spaces in the parking lot. Another problem is heating. You can turn off the air conditioner in your room, but the heater (large towel dryer) in the bathroom cannot be turned off and heats as if it were -5 outside, not +16, as it was at night. At the same time, you have quilts to cover, nothing lighter. We couldn't sleep for two nights because of the heat, even with the balcony door open. At 2 am we went down to the reception to complain, but they said that it could not be turned off, so they gave us a fan. On the third night, however, after the intervention, they did not turn on the heating in the bathroom.
Great stay
The cleaners are getting loud while cleaning, shouting to each other across the rooms with all doors open causing noise.
