Good value, comfortable clean accommodation.
Pros:

Excellent self service full English breakfast. Comfortable quiet room. Pleasant location.
Staff very helpful, even allowed our bicycle to be stored in The Basement. Coped well with our late arrival from The Ferry.

Fabulous, had a ball
Pros:

Fabulous location, the outside space was so clean and tidy, lovely hotel, spacious rooms, food was lovely, bar prices for a hotel are very reasonable

Cons:

The lift is rather small, and the steps up to the main door are rather steep but that's all

Pros:

Hotel was very clean. Serving staff at breakfast were pleasant, helpful and efficient. It was nice to have a sofa in the bedroom.

Cons:

The bed wasn't comfortable. Sound-proofing between rooms was poor. We could hear the TV and conversation from adjacent rooms.

There were several coach parties staying. They had to depart very early (6.30). As a consequence the cooked full English breakfast has been cooked very early and when we went for ours at 8.30 it was getting very dry..the fried bread was rick hard. The scrambled eggs had caught at the bottom and the server had just stirred the burnt elements into the egg. It looked revolting. In contrast, the sausage was delicious as were the mushrooms

Cons:

Both my bed and my friends bed were very old and very hard. Both had very thin mattresses, sunk in the middle. Additionally, very little,if any sound insulation was in the stud walls on the 4th floor as when other guests walked along the corridor,it was as though they in your room. Floor creaking, you could hear every word the spoke. Quite disturbing.
We dined at the Rutland on our 1st night. Opted for the fish pie . Very tasty but such a small portion and not much fish in evidence. Pudding was a manderine cheesecake...we were charged £22. Pretty outrageous I feel for the quality and portion size. Ate out on our 2nd night.the

Great location & room but gluten free options are limited
Pros:

Location and sea view room were great.

Cons:

Disappointed they no longer have gluten free sausages as standard for the breakfast menu.
Gluten free sausages were cooked for me on request but they were horrible! After that experience, I stuck to Gluten Free corn flakes each morning.
