The staff was friendly, and the room was so clean. The location was also great!
Lovely tidy hotel, good breakfast too, and situated in the heart of Southampton, so, close to local amenities. The staff are very, very friendly and very welcoming, they made our stay one to remember, I can’t praise them enough. Slight drawback is parking, they have no on-site car park. There’s a pay per stay long stay car park, 5 minutes walk away.
Nothing, it was a nice place to stay
The staff made a real difference to our stay. The guy on the reception desk was excellent and we felt very welcomed. Dina at breakfast took time to go through all the allergy information I needed and the kitchen made me dairy free porridge.
The bathroom could do with updating. Parking information could be clearer.

Reasonable comfortable. Easy to find. Close to a beautiful square/park. Walking distance to some facilities.
Wi fi did not work at all. If you need to wait on the lobby, there are just a few places where you can sit. My room had this door that connects to another room. Although it was locked, it was possible to hear everything happening next door. In the middle of the night, the 3 women staying there started loud conversation. One of them was having some kind of issue. it sounded as a woman in labor, but I do not believe it was the case. Maybe she was just having a bad trip. Anyway, I could not sleep.
Location was good. Bar staff & reception were all very friendly. The drinks vouchers was a nice gesture as were the complimentary items in our room.
The student car park adjacent is good value for money and a 5 minute walk across the road to the hotel
The pillows were hard which gave us both sore necks, shower over the bath is very dated. The bathroom itself was dated. The cleaners weren’t very courteous of their guests, their radio woke us up at 7.30 in the morning as they were cleaning the room adjacent, they were talking very loudly to each other even though we had a do not disturb sign on our door. My husband went out to tell them to keep their voices down as not everyone is awake at that time.

I had booked an apartment nearby which turned out to be awful. Thankfully Leonardo hotel had rooms available, I turned up late in the evening needing somewhere to stay, the receptionist (Tereza) was lovely, she gave me a free drinks voucher whilst I waited for my booking to be recognized by their system, and when I explained about the awful experience at the apartment she very kindly upgraded me to an executive room. The room was comfortable and clean, with a kingsize bed, the gesture was very much appreciated. Thanks very much to Tereza for her wonderful and thoughtful customer service.
