We love this hotel in the heart of beautiful Freeport. It's staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's our go to when traveling to New England.
Parking is across the street which was disappointing especially when it rained.
Friendly staff , great location
Funky smell in the room
Large lobby with many places to sit including tables for dining, waiting, leisure, etc. A great shop with snacks, beverages, potential needs you may have lost or forgotten, etc. You can buy breakfast in an area of the lobby. Coffee and tea available in the lobby for breakfast. There's also a bar. The bar has tables, as well, for those who want to eat dinner there. There are pictures of all the above content. The whole hotel is clean and comfortable. The bed is comfortable. They have the usual shampoo, conditioner and soap, but they also supply a large bottle of lotion, which is unique. Ample space to walk around in the room. The mini fridge works better than average. It was so cold that some drinks had ice in them. They also have microwave and coffee in the rooms. Great location. Within walking distance to LL Bean, McDonald's, Domino's, numerous other restaurants and all the shops.
Checked in on Saturday afternoon. Room was located on the back side of the building and 35 feet from train tracks. Trains were not a big problem. Both the sink and shower drains were clogged. Carpet had a stain that looked like dog poop. Ice bucket had mold on the rim and bottom side of lid. Room was not cleaned nor was the drains cleared until Monday. For $440 per night I at least expect dirty towels to be replaced. Breakfast is $17 per person even if you only have cereal. This was not a good stay.
I travel quite a bit and stay in hotels probably 50 nights a year. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed out in years. I’m not sure how the Hilton brand can attach their name to this place. This is like a lower end motel 6 that hasn’t been updated since the mid 80’s.
The AC was basically non existent and the air quality in the place was just muggy and stale. I knew the minute I stepped into the elevator we over paid for our room. The room decor was very meh and the beds were uncomfortable.
We got down to eat and get a pizza, and who the server said was amazing. It was a prefab shell. $28 for a prefab pie.
This place is not worth the $300+ a night they charge. This is a $69.99 hotel. Book elsewhere.
The charge for my emotional support dog..
75.00 for one night is way too much.
Perfect location whether business or leisure. I hosted a business meeting there and I could not have asked or a better experience. The town was beautiful and easy to walk around, the weather was beautiful too so it made for a very pleasant week.
The Breakfast host was super nice and accommodating. She's an asset to the hotel!
Nothing, it was a great place.
Wi-Fi without making connections for corporate solicitations would be preferable.
We spent a night at this HGI while on a trip through Maine, as it is just a short walk up to Main Street and less than 10 minutes to the LL Bean campus. The property is fairly large compared to the newer HGI properties and includes plenty of free parking in a lot across the street from the entrance. Our guest room was a comfortable size and appeared to have been recently renovated. We were surprised to find our room backed up to train tracks, but we never heard any noise and it wasn’t an issue. The main thing that could benefit from improvement at this HGI is housekeeping. Any issues we noticed, though minor, seemed to come back to housekeeping - missing water bottles for Honors status, old soap bar left in the shower, no soap by the bathroom sink, etc. Little details like these make a difference, especially considering the price was a bit higher than we would typically expect for a HGI. We would keep this property in mind for the future and would recommend it to others traveling through the area, mainly due to its location.
Ubicación.
Pésima limpieza, encontramos una cuchara sobre el closet sucia y que llevaba tiempo.
No habia fruta disponible en el desayuno, 30 min para reponerla.
Entraba mucha luz para poder descansar de noche.
This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. It was very clean and the front desk staff was very kind. Its location is perfect for shopping. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel, but we did not partake in that. The only downfall is the parking lot is across the street, which isn't a big deal, but it was raining which made it a little tricky.
