Indtjekningsprocessen var langsommelig. Værelserne var sent klar. Morgenmaden var besværligt at spise, fra en lav lænestol ved et lavt sofabord.
The location, atmosphere, and room were great.
The only weak point was breakfast. The available buffet items were adequate (barely), but the seating arrangements were weird - sitting in the big armchairs with breakfast on the small, low coffee tables. But, on balance, I was happy to put up with the breakfast.
The breakfast selection was very good. Sitting in club chairs and eating off of coffee tables/end tables was not ideal.
The hotel was clean and comfortable but for the cost per night, I was expecting something extremely lavish. Lavish was not the word to describe this hotel. Extremely overpriced.
Lovely property in the heart of PEI. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms.
we felt that the hotel's website (who I booked with) was misleading. I booked what was described as a 2 bed heritage house with 2 bathrooms, nearly 6 months ahead of arrival.
What we were given was a ground floor apartment, very dark and hot, and only 1 small bathroom. All the windows were extremely close to parked cars or the pavement so blinds were kept closed. Portable air conditioning units were too noisy to use at night
Did not get a proper explanation when we emailed the manager either
Great location. Large room. Nice breakfast.
Worn out furniture in room. Desk chair seat material is peeling off. Not in keeping with the class of hotel.
We stayed here because reviews were not bad and there are not many nice hotels in Charlottetown. However, we were in one of the annexes this time and they are very old houses and smell old and musty. Very hard if you have allergies. The breakfast was not hot. The cookies and coffee are good. And staff were nice. I don’t think we’d stay here again.
It’s a stunning property in the heart of Downtown Charlottetown PEI
Nothing
Loved free happy hour drink!
Beautiful. Great extras that made it lovely and comfortable. Location was amazing. The cookies were delicious. The building was beautiful and interesting.
There was a smell in the elevator that was so bad we had to take the stairs. It appeared to be better by the next morning.
Stayed here for a couple of nights. Hotel is a collection of old houses/buildings round a block. We had a room in a building separate from the main hotel. Room was huge- bigger than a friend's flat in London I would say! Very comfortable and well located. Staff were friendly though rushed explanations at check in. Breakfast passable. You eat in thr hotel lobby/lounge. Tables and chairs are low which makes eating a bit awkward. We got car parked ok but when busy there might be a Scramble for places. Not sure it would be a great hotel if you had mobility issues. Luckily we do not and liked it.
We have stayed here before a few times and returned for a repeat stay. We were able to check in a little early with a staff member actually calling us back to tell us when our room was ready. We were in the main building. The air conditioning unit in our room was quite noisy whenever it went on the first night so the next morning, we mentioned it to the front desk who indicated they would make a note of this. We were delighted when we returned to our room later that day that a portable AC unit had been hooked up through our window to cool down our room nicely and quietly. We had another issue that was also dealt with quickly and professionally. Every staff member that we interacted with was helpful and pleasant. Kudos to the team! Lots of good quality breakfast options were available (including gluten-free for those needing it). Loved the overnight oats. Also enjoyed the cookies and happy hour! Nice to be able to chill in the relaxing lobby area also.
Location was great. Room was quiet,
Rooms and furnishing are dated. Parking is limited for the amount of quests at the time we were there. Tables for breakfast could be better. Chairs are much lower than the tables, not very comforatble. In all, furniture in the lobby is outdated. Water pressure in the bathroom was ok at best. Appreciated the Happy Hour but unfortunately the wine being offered though it is for free was horrible.
My husband and I loved the Great George Hotel. We arrived on time for the "Happy Hour" and were pleasantly surprised. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent - I was impressed with their gluten free options and they even had lactose free yogurt! Staff for both the happy hour and breakfast were pleasant and very helpful.
The only issue we had was that there were no parking spaces when we arrived but after we spent time at Brackley Beach, we arrived on time to get a great parking spot on our second day.
We had 2 nights after much wrangling, in the main hotel because they had placed us in one of the outlying houses and I cannot do stairs. We picked this hotel because they had an elevator as I am unable to do stairs. We had to transfer to one of their other houses and the place absolutely stinks - literally - of sewage. There are 3 dehumidifiers running constantly and the fan in the bathroom. It's abominable for smell and noisy where we will need to shut them down to be able to sleep. This is NOT a good place if you are not in the main hotel. If you are, then it is good. The breakfasts are excellent.

Very central
Need final little touch…..no milk in the fridge for coffee just “whitener”…. For the price that I paid….! At least some little cups…! And unable to let the curtains open as there is a car park at the widow . Breakfast ok but eating in a living room…. For elderly this is a bit cumbersome…..
