Fabulous hotel, interesting history, and we were extremely comfortable here.

Splendid location for touring Charlottetown on foot. Free parking on site. Good service from multinational staff. Our room was large and comfortable with two queen beds. We did not find the breakfast to be very inspired.

A beautiful old building with superb spacious rooms. Staff were amazing, facilities and location excellent. Happy hour was a real bonus!

The staff, breakfast and accommodations were amazing.

The quaint feel.. Calm vibe. Location was perfect. Parking was good too. The Continental Breakfast was everything anyone would need.

Enjoyable stay. Nice superior king room which to our surprise came with a washer and dryer! Second floor walk up, duplex - living room downstairs, bedroom upstairs.

We found the evenings street noise (voices) at all hours of the night to be annoying. The windows/walls seem to be thin! Otherwise, nice accommodations.

We had a wonderful stay at the Great George. The location in Charlottetown couldn’t be better. The room was comfortable and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. This was the best stay I’ve had at any hotel in years. Staying here was easy and made our visit to Prince Edward Island that much better.

We were in a sweet little house just behind the main building. It was well equipped and very comfortable, and included a dedicated parking spot, which was very convenient given the scarcity of on-street parking in some parts of Charlottetown. Absolutely ideal location for walking around town.

Wonderful location excellent hotel & staff

Great location, charming lobby/ social space, and lovely guest room. Excellent service. Parking can be challenging when the hotel is full. Breakfast is only fair.

My wife and I stayed at this historic hotel for two nights as part of a fly-drive vacation of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

The hotel consists of 13 historic houses which have been sympathetically restored and furnished in a very sympathetic manner to the surroundings.

Our room, in Wellington House was very comfortable providing everything we needed, although an in-room safe would have been useful.

Free car parking is available at the rear of the hotel.

Breakfast is served in the main lounge and provided a good range of hot and cold items in a very convivial atmosphere.

The hotel is very conveniently located close to all of the main attractions of the town and just opposite St Dunstan’s Basilica. The main shopping area is just a short walk away as is the waterfront which has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Should we revisit Charlottetown we would be quite happy to stay at the Great George Hotel.

Had an outstanding stay at The Great George. The suite was spacious, spotless and nicely decorated. The breakfasts were perfect, there was a wide selection of yummy items and service was first class. Centrally located , it was very convenient. We highly recommend The Great George for a great hotel experience.

This hotel was originally built in the late 1800's and converted into a hotel in the 1990's. If the idea of staying in an old character building is your jam, then this is the place for you. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. If modern amenities is important to you, this is probably not your place. Rooms incredibly stuffy and musty smelling - you cannot open windows. Portable air conditioners were in the rooms to cool down (no a/c) but were very loud and hard to sleep with these running. Bathroom was out-dated and on the small side. beds were great, and towels/robes were fluffy and in good condition. Hotel itself well situated.
