Pros:

The only good thing I could say was the breakfast was good

Cons:

From walking into the hotel it smelt awful fusty it is dated and needs a revamp. Room was no better when you walked on the floor your shoes stuck the bed was comfortable door out to the so called balcony was broke so couldn’t lock it. Bathroom shower was quite grubby and the door was all cracked at the bottom.

The room itself were clean

Cons:

The hotel needs to be upgraded, it had a horrible smell everywhere in all the common areas. It also had a very heavy smell of alcohol everywhere.
The carpets in the common areas was torn and didn't fit right outside the elevator so was taped down.
For £165.50 for a standard room that had 2 single beds joint together and advertised as a double room it was definitely not worth the money.
Will not stay there again.

The room could have been a little larger especially since we were staying 6 nights.

The location was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room was tiny with no place to put our luggage or clothes. Our only windows faced into the construction area. Also we could not get cold water out of the tap in the room.

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt im Grand Hotel Swansea und haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Bereits der Empfang war sehr freundlich und herzlich.
Unser Zimmer war offensichtlich bereits modernisiert und hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Es war schön eingerichtet, sauber und sehr angenehm. Auch das Badezimmer war modern, gepflegt und hat einen sehr guten Eindruck gemacht.
Aktuell finden am Hotel noch Bau- und Renovierungsarbeiten statt. Uns persönlich haben diese während unseres Aufenthalts überhaupt nicht gestört. Im Gegenteil: Wir finden es schön zu sehen, dass in das Hotel investiert und es nach und nach auf einen moderneren Stand gebracht wird. Wenn unser Zimmer ein Beispiel dafür ist, wie das Hotel nach Abschluss der Arbeiten aussehen wird, kann man sich wirklich darauf freuen.
Ein kleiner Hinweis wäre lediglich, dass wir es schön gefunden hätten, bereits vor unserer Ankunft etwas deutlicher über die laufenden Bauarbeiten informiert zu werden. Allerdings möchten wir nicht ausschließen, dass es einen entsprechenden Hinweis gab und wir diesen bei der Buchung einfach übersehen haben.
Insgesamt waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Besonders unser schönes, modernes Zimmer, das gute Badezimmer und der freundliche Empfang sind uns positiv in Erinnerung geblieben. Die Bauarbeiten waren für uns überhaupt kein Problem und wir würden das Grand Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.
