Cheap accommodation and nice staff
Pros:

After reading the reviews I was worried, however after asking to look at my room first. I was pleasantly surprised, my bed was comfortable and clean. Lovely white sheets and towels, lots of coffee and tea. Nice hot showers and great staff!

I’m walking the Pilgrims Way to Canterbury so this was a well needed stop to recharge. The only close one on route

Pros:

The location

Cons:

The bed was horrendous. It was so low down, the mattress had stains and you could feel every spring it was the most uncomfortable sleep I’ve ever had.
We were given one towel between two of us.
My sons room wasn’t ready and we were there an hour after check in

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t ready on arrival due to the cleaners running late but I was kept informed and received apologies for the delay.

Cons:

The hotel condition is what I expected from the reviews - little tired, frayed carpets etc but you get what you pay for and it wasn’t a real issues. The problem we had was the bed - we could feel every spring in the mattress so it wasn’t a comfortable sleep and woke with back ache etc. The sheets & towels were clean but a better mattress and sleep would mean we would return. Also not clear that bar and restaurant run by third party and both unmanned.

Absolutely disgusted that this hotel is allowed on this site I would like a refund and compensation

Cons:

The hotel was dirty neglected and a hazardous environment
No air conditioning as stated there was and the receptionist when we arrived couldn’t find the booking and kept getting my name wrong as she couldn’t understand English very well

Great value for the money £49 per night
Pros:

I spend my life travelling and working all over the country week in week out different hotels. For the money it’s great I see a lot of bad reviews come on it’s great for the money air con Netflix I loved it for the money. I paid £49 A night

Cons:

Has a balcony to sit on to smoke. This review is genuine. I fix horses for a living Jay Johnson Fastrack. Hotels not cheap now for a cheap night it’s great.
