pleasent stay at Edgewater sufficiently close to Manhattan
Pros:

Varied and generous breakfast, large and welcoming room, magnificent shower, beautiful view of the (distant) skyline of West Manhattan, very frequent bus to Manhattan, nice New Jersey zone

Cons:

Low general control level by the staff with a potential security problems (anyone can really enter), no customer caring as staff never responds to greetings either on entry or exit

Bonne situation mais les prestations sont décevantes.
Pros:

Le prix qui reste néanmoins relativement compétitif par rapport aux prix de Manhattan. La situation assez proche de New York et des commerces non loin de l’hôtel (zone commerciale).
Le fait d’être en face de la Skyline côté New Jersey permet de se détendre et de sortir de l’agitation de Manhattan. Situation interessante par rapport à l’aéroport de Newark.

Cons:

Le lit d’appoint du canapé indigne d’un hôtel de ce standing. Du jamais vu ! Pas de confort. Matelas usé au possible. Limite sale. Une honte. Une solution radicale s’impose concernant ce mobilier dans l hôtel.
Isolation thermique des fenêtres d’un autre temps. Éviter les chambres sur le boulevard adjacent.
Gros problèmes de plomberie dans l’hotel. Pas d’eau chaude (eau tiède voire froide pendant notre séjour en décembre).
Obligés de changer de chambre (guère mieux) en insistant (merci à husein au desk) après une réparation sommaire réalisée par un autre employé qui savait pertinemment que ce qu’il faisait ne servait à rien. Une blague. Problème généralisé à l’hôtel selon nous. Petit déjeuner correct sans plus.
Le service du petit déjeuner. Personnel du petit déjeuner très désagréable avec les clients. N’ouvre pas le petit déjeuner à l heure car arrive quelques minutes avant et donc n’est pas prêt à l heure. Gare aux clients qui s’approchent de celui-ci avant que ces dames ne soient prêtes. Pour être bien vu mieux vaut parler espagnol.

Pros:

Excellent séjour : petit déjeuner très bon et varié, personnel réactif, logement propre avec serviettes changées chaque jour. La proximité de l’arrêt de bus pour rejoindre Manhattan est un vrai plus. Nous recommandons cet établissement.

Stuff was friendly enough but the lack of AC was not ideal

The problems we did have were addressed in a timely manner

Cons:

We got to our room and the AC wasn't working which was unfortunate because it was over 90 degrees the two days we stayed and when we called to tell the front desk maintenance had left for the day so the next day by the time we got back to our room they were in the middle of replacing the AC unit so there was just a hole in the wall then room service was very pushy on cleaning our room right that moment after we just got back form a long day in the city and we just wanted to relax

Pros:

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for 2 days. The location is good, and you can easily get to Manhattan by bus. However, the comfort and condition of the rooms were very poor. The hotel is very old, and the bathroom/toilet area opens into the room with a window, which was uncomfortable. I booked a family room, but we still could not use it comfortably. During the night, I could hear flushing sounds from another room’s toilet and woke up twice because of the noise.

The price was also really expensive. Later, I moved to another hotel with similar features, including breakfast, for about one-third of the price. In particular, the young bearded man working at the reception was very rude and had an unpleasant attitude. The breakfast was not bad, and the cleanliness was average.

Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.

Pros:

I like that this hotel is near Mitsuwa. It's at a pretty quiet location, both morning and night, even on a weekend.

The rooms look like your usual longer stay hotels - it's spacious but a bit worn or even cheap looking, considering the price of this place per night.
Cleanliness was OK, could be better (a strand of hair).
Breakfast was busy and crowded but there's no worries about not having enough food to go around.

Overall the stay was good. The room and hotel was clean, the staff were kind & the proximity was goo
Pros:

What I liked most was the cleanliness and the actual proximity to Manhatten. It was a great location and distance from American Dream mall.

Cons:

We did not like the breakfast food. The potatoes were hard,the sausage was not tasty and the eggs were bland.
