Formidabel morgenmad. Sundt, god kvalitet, varieret og meget at vælge imellem. Venligt personale som vejledte os godt. God service. Rent og alt fungerede.
Kan klart anbefale overnatning på dette sted.
Alt fungerede godt.
The welcome on arrival was very friendly with nothing being too much trouble when making specific requests. The restaurant was exceptional for service and quality of food presented.

Great breakfast and location. Great view of the water.
Room was a little warm.
Отличное месторасположение, приветливый персонал. Единственное казалось что номер будет немножко больше, с большим багажом тесновато для двоих.
The staff and the location
The building, the decor, the room sizes
If you’re looking for a quiet top-floor suite at NH La Spezia, make sure you understand their definition of “top floor.” Apparently, it means “directly underneath a rooftop bar with music until midnight.”
After specifically requesting a quiet room and being repeatedly assured—both by the booking center and the hotel itself—that a Sea View Suite on the “top floor” would meet that requirement, I paid over €300 for Suite 826. Only at check-in was I casually informed that there was actually another floor above us, complete with a rooftop bar and nightly entertainment.
The hotel’s solution? Assure us the room was “soundproof.”
It wasn’t.
From 10 p.m. onwards, our suite sounded less like a premium room and more like a backstage area beneath a nightclub. Loud music, scraping iron chairs, dragging tables and furniture overhead continued for hours. Travelling with a young child made the situation even more absurd.
Reception’s response deserves special mention. One staff member promised the music would stop “shortly.” Another actually laughed when I explained that my exhausted child couldn’t sleep because it sounded like a nightclub above our heads. He then helpfully explained that because the hotel had paid its music licence fees, they had every right to continue the disturbance until midnight. Customer service, NH La Spezia style.
Eventually the music volume was reduced, but the furniture scraping continued well past midnight.
The following morning, I was assured the Director would contact me. The Director never did. Instead, I received a call essentially asking what discount I wanted, as though being misled about the room location, losing a night’s sleep, and being treated dismissively by staff was simply the opening move in a bargaining exercise.
Minutes after declining to “negotiate,” the full charge was immediately processed.
The most baffling aspect is the hotel’s decision to place its most expensive suites directly beneath a rooftop bar. The second most baffling aspect is continuing to market them as quiet. The third is the staff’s and management’s handling of legitimate complaints.
I’ve stayed in hotels for many years, including many NH run hotels. This was easily one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve encountered. If you value sleep, honesty, or basic professionalism, avoid Suite 826—and perhaps any room directly beneath the rooftop bar.
Excellent choices
All good
