Hotel Jardim Atlântico – Madeira

The hotel has a beautiful location with stunning views from the balcony, definitely one of its biggest highlights! The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils for cooking. Coffee was provided, which was a nice touch, although adding some tea and sugar would make it even better.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness and overall comfort were far below my expectations, especially for a hotel advertised as 4 stars.

The toilet seat had a “sanitized” label, but when I lifted it, I found dirt underneath. I ended up cleaning it myself, which was honestly quite disgusting and unacceptable for a hotel of this category.

I also noticed a bloodstain on the bedsheet near the head area, as well as visible stains on the sofa. These are basic hygiene issues that should absolutely be checked before welcoming guests.

The worst part was the night. There were so many mosquitoes that I could barely sleep. I covered myself with the blanket to avoid being bitten, but still woke up with my left eye swollen. I can’t say for certain whether it was caused by a mosquito or another insect, but the whole experience was extremely uncomfortable.

The hotel should at least inform guests about the mosquito situation or provide mosquito repellent or other preventive measures. These small details could make a huge difference.

Considering the price, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail. I’m genuinely surprised by the hotel’s 4-star classification, as my experience certainly didn’t reflect that standard. I believe the quality and hygiene standards deserve a thorough reassessment.

It’s a shame because the location and views are truly beautiful, and the property has great potential.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l,e calme de cet hôtel et ses équipements comme la piscine et les jardins autour de celle-ci. Et biennsirlambue sur la mer depuis notre balcon

Cons:

Notre chambre se trouvait dans le bâtiment principal et nous ne l'avons pas trouvée digne d'un 4 étoiles.

Excellent séjour ! Le personnel est vraiment très accueillant, l’hôtel est propre, les buffets, du petit-déjeuner au dîner sont simples mais très corrects et efficaces. L’emplacement est idéal, avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et l’océan. Tout est réuni pour passer de très bonnes vacances, sans superflu, mais avec tout ce qu’il faut. Le seul petit point négatif serait l’absence d’un kit de nettoyage dans l’appartement (une éponge et un peu de savon, balai seraient appréciés). Concernant le parking, il faut à peine cinq minutes à pied, ce qui est vraiment un détail. Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans hésiter !

Aucun employé ne parlais Français et à essayer de nous comprendre.
J'avais réserver une chambre avec un lit double king size mais nous avons eu que 2 lits simples

Pros:

Grande chambre et grand lit, grand balcon .Vue exceptionnelle. Personnel à l’écoute et très réactif. Nous avons passé un bon séjour.

Cons:

Manque d’insonorisation par rapport au chaise de l’étage du dessus. Manque un kit vaisselle(il n’y avait pas d’éponge, ni de produit vaisselle, pas de sac poubelle). Le petit déjeuner peut être amélioré.
