Location to the NEC
Very tried.. hotel needs a refurbishment room tail rail not working rads not on in the room a noise all night like a boiler going
Location, staff and accomodation
Nothing
The staff was very helpful, provided all the information I needed to know and readily answered all my questions. Facilities are close to the airport and NEC, which was very convenient to go back and forth.
Very visible dust on the ventilation grills. There is no toilet brush in the bathroom. The walls are paper thin. I could hear any of my neighbours when they talked out loud as well as anybody opening doors or passing my door in the hallway.
Ease to get to Birmingham international, very spacious room. Clean with good restaurant bar. Can't hear the airplanes that are nearby.
Not much for milk allergy sufferers at the restaurant
Breakfast was fantastic and lots of choices. Room was great, bathroom could do with a refresh as is looking tired. Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom was a bit tiered and shower head very low down. I’m 5’10 so not that tall
Spacious traditional rooms in large hotel with good bar & cafe. Surrounded by trees no take off noise. Friendly staff at spa with pool sauna steam circuit & gym included in room rate. Only valid checkin to Checkout. Short walk to train station.
Pleasant walk 15 mins from airport terminal after long flight. Take shuttle to rail station from terminal. Needs careful map nav assistance as paths wind round rail station & exhibition halls & car parks. Hotel does good park&fly deals.
You can walk to the NEC in 10 mins but need to know the short cut round the back! Nice pool. Lovely staff. Good food. Staff on reception helpful. Breakfast staff efficient and smiling! Two types of bacon offered for excellent breakfast.
Again mid communication between reception staff. Only one person on duty at busy check out time which makes you leave without finalising queries on the bill.
Food was good.
I have submitted a formal complaint with the hotel, using your booking reference questioning the fire safety precautions at the hotel.

We booked a Superior King room and got a room with 4 beds.
Bedclothes we're dirty.

Loved it
The Arden burger was fantastic, so much so I had it twice. The bar was comfy and did a good pint.
The spa facilities were reasonable for an airport hotel - pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc. all available. Wouldn't say it was serene in any sense as it was overcrowded, but nice to have the access to the facilities regardless.
The location was great for getting to the NEC and to the train into town. Lots of parking available which was handy too.
Overall I thought the price was reasonable given I was staying during quite a busy time at the NEC.
Was just a bit scruffy. Hadn't had a deep clean in years in some areas, dust was everywhere e.g. fan in the bedroom ensuite was clogged, top of the lockers in the changing room were thick with it etc.
Very thin windows. My room was above the outside area of the bar, and I could hear every word of the tables below even with the window shut. Not normally an issue for me but outside an airport and with the comic con conference guests drinking outside until gone 3am it was annoying to say the least.
No air conditioning / cooling... There was a heatwave on, and it was sweltering. The rooms at some point looked to have had or were prepared for aircon as the grates in the wall were still there, but no, nothing.
Property was lovely, there was a large event happening on the first night but it didn’t affect us at all. Immaculate. Great location for the NEC
It is a little dated in the rooms. Cannot comment on food as breakfast wasn’t included in the room price which I feel it should be for these prices. Also they take £50 deposit when you check in and only refund days after you have left!
