Wonderful spot in Carmel-By-The-Sea
Pros:

Location, room size, cleanliness and staff were superb. Basket breakfast was a wonderful start to the day.

Cons:

Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Bed was extremely soft.

Very beautiful and authentic place. Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast Delivery service. Beautiful garden.

Cons:

Breakfast menu was simple and providing small portions. They used too many small things for the Breakfast basket which make many disposable waste products.

Cons:

Parking is very limited. Request parking with room room when booking. Pack light if on 2nd floor. Hotel is on a hill necessitating multiple levels and several flights of stairs for upper floor rooms

It was my 65th birthday celebration and it was lovely! I should have stayed an extra day.
Pros:

The partial ocean view room was lovely and very spacious. Kimono robes and slippers were a nice touch, and the continental breakfast was just enough to satisfy you before heading downtown. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful!

Cons:

The room had an unusual smell upon entering. We threw open the patio door to a nice, cool breeze, which helped mitigate the smell.
