To many people round pool especially children for us
Family friendly
Lack of sun beds cause by some greedy guest that reserved full lots of it but not using it for its purpose. They’re just dumping there belongings in it
Here now! My son loves the entertainment team and all they have to offer!
Mixed bag here. Across 2 rooms I’ve paid almost £600 a night half board.
Positives - Sunbeds good, food decent overall. Pool area excellent. Staff - mostly friendly
Negatives - the staff have no clue of the hotel policies which seem to change day to day. Days 1-3 countless people swarming out of dinner, drinks in hand, being offered a paper cup for takeaway. Day 4 I get stopped and told in no uncertain terms that the policy changed two weeks ago. I pointed out I’d been watching dozens of people do it for the past 3 nights and I was told that was impossible - thus calling me a liar. On trying to discuss this further I was told that the hotel policy in fact changed two years ago, not two weeks ago. Either way, not true as I saw staff assisting people with drinks. So I was made to feel bad for something I thought was ok and they couldn’t make their minds up about.
To make matters worse the staff member pointed me towards a sign that he told me said “coffee only for takeaway and the English translation is incorrect” as a Spanish speaker, I could see it was perfectly translated and to insult an English person by presuming they don’t speak the language is unwise, and unfortunately, still widespread
Similar situation in the pool. Each lifeguard has their own rules. Various people being told off and not understanding why, thinking they’re following the rules. Who knows what they are……certainly not the staff.
I tried to speak to management about it. Instead of a genuine gesture I got offered a trip to the adults only pool (I’ve got kids) and when I asked instead to keep my room for two hours it was impossible.
Suddenly, if I offered to pay for it (instead of a gesture) it was available!
Honestly, compare customer service levels when something totally minor goes wrong here to other places and make a completely insulting gesture of goodwill and you’ll find a family who have spent thousands and were thinking of coming back, instead heading somewhere else. A shame, if they learnt how to look after guests and listen to the feedback, along with appreciating it, this would’ve been an excellent trip. But I’ve left with a sour taste sadly
Good accommodation, nice people
Amazing animation team. Very friendly and encouraging. My children have really enjoyed this holiday.
Food is fantastic & hotel very clean.
Love everything! Great energy and brilliant family fun! Love the foam pool parties!
So we have been for 9 nights, restaurant is terrible, quality of food is not the best at all, the staff are ok but a lot with poor attitudes towards customer service, Spanish take priority here. The pool sunbed wars are out of control, get up and in the que for 7am and get ready for the 7:45am run for a bed, if you miss this you ain’t getting a bed. Hotel gone down hill totally as respects the price of the holiday for what you get. Gangs of kids causing havoc, shining lasers everywhere in people’s eyes. The illumination team are good but the outsourced performers for the fun bar are pretty awful, zero air con and it’s like a cattle market in there with poor drinks, table service hit and miss and you have to then wait in a huge line for the bar.
Whole hotel is getting tired again, and various things broken, hanging off, lefts breaking down and trapping people, hygiene debatable.
So our advise spend your money elsewhere, for same money we could go to USA, we only returned as our children wanted to return as we have so many happy memories here, but this time was the final chapter. Sorry spring hotels you have lost our custom.
Just back from a 9 night trip with my family of 5 we had to book 2 Rooms as rooms not big enough to accommodate.
This is our 4th time at bitacora and unfortunately will be our last. It lacks a friendly atmosphere now and seems very crowded and noisy compared to 2023 our last visit. The sunbed situation is ridiculous we struggled to get any at all? The food is very mediocre and repetitive we ended up eating out every evening.
We had first floor pool view rooms which were so noisy and could hear people all night long.
The animation team however are fab especially Brian he’s amazing!
The fun bar is very slow with big queues and the entertainment is terrible compared to other years we left after a hour most nights!
The only plus is the location!
The food buffet in the evening was okay, nothing spectacular but a great selection at breakfast and plenty of choice for pudding.
Staff from all departments were friendly.
Pools were great and we found somewhere to sit regardless of what time we went. There was a play area and small arcade at the hotel.
Evening entertainment was good, different each night.
Room was clean and reasonably sized.
Hotel is in a good location, bus stop just down the road for Siam Park etc and a small supermarket.
Overall, we had a great stay and would return.
wow what a gorgeous hotel! Lovely pools, bar and food. Loads for kids to do with the constant pool games (water polo was a firm favourite ). The outside bar snack bar was brilliant for lunch and snacks and served a great variety. The drinks were fab and served everyone perfectly. We did all inclusive and it was 100% worth it. The location is also fab we walked down to local shops and beach with only a 10 min walk. Also local to be able to walk for longer along the seafront with places to stop off for drinks on the way. The food was varied and good quality with a pasta bar every night for fussy eaters as well as a new carved meat every day. The rooms were perfect size and the aircon was perfect for relaxing after a hot day. The entertainment kept us occupied in the evening- the pink party and Enita were firm favourites keeping us laughing all night long. Remember pink outfits for the pink party (Thursday night). The sunbed issue isn’t too prominent… if you get a sunbed before 10-11am your set for your day. If you go out you’ll struggle to find a sunbed until 2pm but then there’s plenty. Siam park was also local for a great day out. Defintely book this hotel. Tui did us a brilliant package which kept the holiday stress free. The slides were a bonus on sight too so fun and thrilling!! Loads of little pools for both kids and older kids/adults.
Feedback from our recent family stay at the BitaCora with 2 teenage boys for 3 nights:
• Rooms. Really spacious. Can be noisy with pool activity but otherwise great. Clean, well maintained. Would just be careful if you want a view. For us the most important thing was 2 rooms close to each other and we were only there 3 nights so did not complain but on the first floor some rooms have literally no view, like ours! 126 and 130 avoid.
• Food. All really good quality and warm, other than pancakes. Why so cold and why no maple syrup!
• Pools and slides. Great. Big improvement on last stay in 2019. Most bizarre thing you have to pay a 40 euros cash deposit for towels. Having been on a cashless holiday, this cost me £5 to withdraw
• Internet. Shocking. Would not work in room 126. Clear fault. Complained day 1. Provided with QR code for 3 rooms nearest to ours. Very hit and miss. With an autistic child who likes to spend most of his time in the room, very frustrating. Complained again day 2. No one came to our room for over 24 hours when we were about to check out. Using a nearby courtesy room later that day I saw the room had been sealed off with clear instructions on the door not to book for 3 days.
Drinks and bar food: Where to start! Everything has to be allocated to your room so you have to order from screens provided or scan your wrist band. Why?! At the pool bar the process is so confusing there are always queues, although this is not helped by there never being more than 2 people serving. This is the same in the main bar. It all means queues for everything, taking away one of the pleasures of all inclusive which is easy access to whatever food and drink you want.
• Late check out. Understandably with a full hotel this wasn’t possible. However having been advised day 1 we would have full access to food and drink until 6.00 and use of a courtesy room, this wasn’t an issue. When we checked out at 12 we were then told actually the cut off was 3.00. This materially changed our plans for our last day and as we could not change the time of our courtesy room we had to eat at the airport rather than either the pool bar as expected or a restaurant near the hotel. Frustrating
This was our third visit to the BitsCora and with our boys now older (13 & 16) and the inconvenience we experienced, I doubt we will return. It is a shame but compared to 2016 and 2019 it just feels it has become a corporate rather than customer hotel
