SUCH A GREAT PLACE TO STAY
Pros:

First of all I must compliment the front desk staff, Albert. WOW what an example of perfection when it comes to making guests feel welcomed and appreciated.

We had stayed at this property a few years ago and we were happy to have had an opportunity to stay again. Since it was the Tour de France start we were limited to our selection but maybe it was a good thing.

This hotel has a short walk to 2 metro stations.

The hotel also has parking available - the narrow drive and turns will intimidate even a long time driver that is for sure.

The lobby is large and has several comfortable options to sit.

The rooms are large, super clean, and offer several USB ports.

The bed is so comfortable that you may want to just sleep in and the sheets are nice and crisp yet soft.

I loved the shower since the water pressure is strong.

The bonus is that you have access to a spa area in the hotel. It was a super hot day and we we took advantage of just going down and cooling our bodies off. Swim caps are provided at no charge. There are specific times that children are allowed. I enjoyed the steam room, various showers, the salt room, the walking on rocks with water jets and being able to stand under the waterfall in the pool area to massage my feet and back. I also love that ZERO cell phones are allowed in the area. Robes and slippers are in the rooms so you can just wear them down.

Make sure that you check out the rooftop bar. The views of Barcelona, especially at night, are amazing. One our stay there was a DJ and there is nothing like relaxing after a full day with some music while sitting and staring in awe at Sagrada Familia.

There are several clubs in the area BUT the windows make it all soundproof.

Cons:

The only thing that I could improve would be for the hotel not to have hours for the gym.

Great but better hygiene.
Pros:

Staff was amazing and everything was quick.

Cons:

Terrible hygiene. The bathroom was dirty, and there weee stains on the bathtub.

Average experience overall - expected much more
Pros:

Breakfast was great, good verity and nice setup and timing
Spa as fine, but did last min massage session and it was below average
we got early checkin, did not have to wait till the normal checkin time and check out was smooth as well

Cons:

Location outside the hotel gave very dangerous atmosphere, people sleeping in the street, very bad sewerage smell out side the hotel.
Cockroach in the bathroom on my first night
Bathrobe was taken after the first night, only got a new one when called for one and got one with lower quality than the original bathrobe that was in the bathroom

Super stay in a quieter area of Barcelona with easy access to everything
Pros:

Super hotel with lovely facilities. Great location in a quieter part of Barcelona, but easy to get to everywhere. Air con provided relief from ourside and the shower was excellent - very powerful! Spa facilities were a real treat and roof terrace has spectacular views. Can't comment on breakfast, we explored the lovely cafes in the local area instead! We opted to use Bus Turistic over 48 hrs and the hotel is about 15 min walk from the Red Route in Poblenou. It's about 30-40 walk to Sangrada Familia or Placa de Catalunya ( and top of Ramblas) or about 20-30 mins to the seafront
