The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to every detail. They enthusiastically helped with every question or request we had. The food was excellent and the pool was wonderful. The parking was also very convenient and the location was convenient to restaurants and shopping and the center of town.

Liked the property, but the Welcome get together was not arranged properly. Instead of just having all the staff line up and not do/say anything , they should introduce themselves to the group and chat a little about the property and facilities. Then invite the guests to get go know each other. The snacks and drinks were very good. The laundry was way too expensive. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO THE HOTEL FROM US.
Friendly staff many of whom have been there for years. The property is superbly maintained and service levels are high. Nothing is too much trouble.
The location is a pleasant walk of about a mile along the promenade to Funchal centre. The hotel has secure car parking too if required.
The breakfast selection is broad and fresh with a chef on hand to cook for individual requirements.
Dinner is available too at the hotels restaurant and there are two pleasant bars and a programme of evening entertainment (not required by us but very popular).
We didn't spend evenings in the hotel as there were so many lovely restaurants within a very short walk.
The housekeeping and room standards are exceptional.
The (salt water) pool area is beautifully designed, laid out so sunbeds can be secluded if preferred, with helpful servers and a water station, great poolside restaurant/bar and access via steps to bathing in the Atlantic if required.

Quarto é fantastico, tal como as instalações e a localização.
Houve um pequeno mal entendido entre nós, o Hotel e o Spa. Fizemos uma marcação junto com o Hotel, e o próprio Spa ligou a confirmar a reserva. Na hora da marcação o Hotel disse que o Spa não tinha disponibilidade e que a massagem ficava sem efeito.
O pequeno mal entendido foi resolvido pelo Diretor do Hotel que foi muito atencioso. Pior mesmo só a recepcionista Vanessa. Nunca pediu desculpas pelo sucedido, tratou-nos como se nós é que tivessemos a culpa e mandou o seu colega vir falar connosco em vez de dar a cara pelo problema que foi sempre tratado diretamente com a mesma. É pena, porque o hotel e o resto do staff merecem um 10.
Large bedrooms with balcony overlooking sea. Really liked area & surrounding Restuarants. Only 15-20 mins walk to old town. Quiet. Large nice pool area.
