Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten, große Wohlfühlatmosphäre
Pros:

Jeden Tag gab es eine Schale mit saftigen Kirschen und eine neue Wasserflasche, eine Kleinigkeit, aber wir haben uns sehr gefreut. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Wir haben uns einfach wohlgefühlt. Und man sollte keineswegs verpassen alle Räume anzuschauen, einmal im Park zu spazieren und die Aussicht und den frischen Wind auf dem großen Balkon des Klosters zu genießen. Es gibt im ganzen Hotel viele Sitzgelegenheiten, wo man abends den Tag gemütlich ausklingen lassen kann.

Cons:

Das Frühstück,welches eigentlich ganz in Ordnung war, wurde nach ein paar Tagen etwas eintönig.

Mit wenig Aufwand könnte das Hotel zu dem gemacht werden, was es sein möchte.

Die imposanten und hohen Räumlichkeiten.

Cons:

Die Unterkunft wurde in den 1980ern in einem wiederaufgebauten Kloster als Luxushotel ausgebaut. Das Hotel ist noch in diesem damaligen Zustand, weshalb es durch die Jahre längst kein Luxushotel mehr ist. Auch das Frühstück war lediglich ein Buffet mit Kaffe aus der Kanne zur Selbstbedienung.

Eine der schönsten und besonderen Unterkunft in Guimarães!!
Pros:

Ein ausgesprochen schöner und außergewöhnlicher Aufenthaltsort in einem modernisierten, ehemaligen Kloster auf den Hügeln Guimarães überschauend! Eine sehr besondere Atmosphäre! Wir haben es sehr genossen!

A great opportunity to relax in this fabulous hotel with everything you could want on hand.
Pros:

Being a monastery conversion this hotel is on a grand scale. The rooms are large and spacious and well appointed - a free glass of port as well. The views over the valley below were fantastic - especially at sunset.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
The pool was fabulous with its own bar and bites to east. We had some excellent dishes for dinner but...see below
The gardens were a joy to walk around.

Cons:

The remote location of this hotel does not allow for a leisurely walk to a nearby restaurant so the hotel fare is what we went for. There is a good a la carte menu with some superb local dishes but we thought there were 2 or 3 choices that were disappointing and we told the staff accordingly.

Le lieu extraordinaire, le parc, la piscine très agréable, les salons d'été et un excellent petit déjeuner. Ce lieu est un véritable musée où l'on peut déambuler en toute liberté.

Excellent and enjoyable stay for family of three.
Pros:

Excellent location, fantastic historic building restored and adapted sympatically. Dining excellent and staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Only issue is that most rooms face west and thus quite warm towards end of day and into the night. Even with air con having been on, the residual heat remains into the night.
