This property is a gem. The staff here are a standout, big thanks to Lilio. Mariangela, Maria at breakfast who knew our coffee order habits by day 3. They were outstanding, helpful, organised and professional. Shout out to Tiziana who greeted us most days with a lovely smile, we only ate an evening meal once but this was delicious. All reception staff were friendly and those whose names I didn’t catch you are all fantastic.
Breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruit, yoghurts, jams, cheese, cold meats, smoked salmon. Cereals, muesli, boiled eggs, salads, juices, mozzarella, toast and spreads, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage… not to mention at least 8 different pastries. Coffee was freshly made for you.
The pool area has plenty of sunbeds and parassols.
The hotel was super, super clean. Room was decent size with spacious bathroom. We had a super comfort room at the back of the hotel. Quiet and peaceful. Higher up rooms had a view over the pool and sea view.
Nothing major at all. I would come back in a heartbeat. Just a few points if it helps anyone make informed decisions. The hotel is situated outside of main area and the distance to Sorrento centre could be a problem for those with mobility difficulties. We enjoyed the walk and it took about 15 minutes. This was straight road. Easy gentle stroll.
Little bit of noise from busy road but this could not be heard from our room at the back when the doors were shut.
Very deep pool at one end of 3 metres, meant only half the pool used really. Was a little crowded in the shallow end on a couple of days.
Pool bar food a little pricey but I believe this is owned by hotel next door who we share the pool with
The Hotel had a lovely garden area at the back with a nice pool and lots of sun beds.
Drinks available at a small bar beside the pool, you could also order food from there if you wished.
The Road on which the Hotel was on was really busy and noisy. There was a nice little outside terrace area on the front but unfortunately the road traffic would put you off sitting there.
Breakfast was very good. The air conditioning is very strong and we loved it to escape from the heat. The mattress and pillows were really good which is often not the case in hotels. Very friendly staff.
Welcoming staff, spotless clean, room cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided.
Rooms are very small, single beds were tiny and its quite noisey early morning from staff/guests moving furniture in the rooms above and beside you. Breakfast was included but you had to pay extra if you want pancakes or omelette. Pool towels are not changed daily, was told the ones you get on day 1 are the only ones you can have although I did get a fresh set on day 3 but had to ask.

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff. Enjoyed the breakfast options and had a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant on the last night of our stay.
We had a comfort double room and although not the smallest room in the hotel it was compact.
Pool is managed by a different company and shared with hotel next door.
The hotel is on a fairly busy road and is approx a 20 minute walk to the centre of Sorrento. Once you were inside the hotel there was no road noise.
As with many hotels there is an extra charge for parking.

Hotel Gardenia was an absolute delight, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento. From the moment we arrived, the owner/manager and the excellent staff went completely above and beyond to make our stay seamless and memorable.
Here is what made our stay so special:
The Food: Both the breakfast and the overall food quality were very good, offering a great start to our days.
The Property: The hotel is beautifully designed and kept spotlessly clean throughout.
The Pool: A great, relaxing pool area that serves as the perfect oasis after a day of exploring.
We couldn't have asked for better hospitality and will definitely look to stay here again!
Good location and good gym you can access.
The room was very small, with only one bedside table. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast staff were really nice to us on the first day and then the second day, they asked us to sit at a table and then told us to move. The breakfast staff were being exceptionally rude to other customers too, rolling their eyes, tutting and just didn’t want to be there. Then on another occasion, a staff member just walked into the room when I was in the shower without knocking. This hotel was severely overpriced with poor customer service. Do not stay here.
