Pros:

Good location and the beds were okay, but the room was very outdated: the wallpaper was coming off the walls and the shower came off. The beds were okay and clean.

I stayed for one night only but would not have stayed here longer.

Good location, but needs updating
Pros:

The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, with kettle, TV, basic snacks. The hotel is well located, near the train station and town centre.

Cons:

The hotel generally has seen better days and could do with updating. For example, there was a bucket in the breakfast area to catch drips and the Alexandra Hotel sign was missing 2 As and a D. Expensive for what it is, but Fort William is generally expensive.

Pros:

It was close to walk to town, so a good location, had a big car parking area at the back of the hotel. Hotel had a lift to get you to your room with bags. Only 2 people allowed in lift at anyone time.

Cons:

Unfortunately the scramble eggs was to watery, no crossiant one day, had to ask for more yoghurts. There were enough staff just not doing anything really. The breakfast is in big metal containers to help yourself. One evening stayed at hotel for a quick snack, I have Pea soup and husband had bruschetta, the soup was like dish water and wasn't nice at all. I tried the bruschetta and that was lovely. So a mixed review for breakfast and starters. They had the HEATING on so very hot in the breakfast room and the bar. Must of had it full on as I usually feel the cold but was baking hot.
Also our room windows were not very good. Lots of condensation.

The location was exceptional. Nice and close to everything.

Cons:

The room was a bit dated. The room was sloped. Being short it was a long stretch to reach the toilet paper.

The place is threadbare, signage Alex otel. Peeling paint in the dining room.
Breakfast was overpriced and not good. When I pointed this out when I checked out the desk clerk ignored me. I did not think this hotel provided value for the price.
