Nice and convenient to beaches and restaurants
Pros:

The room was nice and clean and housekeeping was very accommodating. The only issue we had was the tub not draining but maintenance was right there to fix it quickly.

Good time!
Pros:

We recently spent a weekend at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Destin. What a great place! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was great (especially Sam at the front desk!) and it’s located across the street from Henderson State Park. You can’t walk to the beach but get a reservation and drive the 3 minutes it takes. You get open beach and nowhere near the number of people at the resorts!

Would I stay here again?
Pros:

Location was good. We live in Fort Myers and did not know that you need reservations to park at the beach (Henderson). We were turned away after sitting in the long line. We went to topsail beach…..a little bit of a drive but well worth it. The county had picked up the tab for the entire summer for visitors. Tram ran to beach every 30 minutes.

Atmosphere is great. Staff was very friendly.

Rooms were lacking. We were hard pressed to find an outlet that worked in the room. My husband had to unplug the bedside lamp every night for his cpap because it was the only working outlet. And when you are traveling with kids and technology……..not enough working outlets. The shower in the bathroom NEVER stopped dripping. No matter how closed the line was the water continually dripped. Carpeted floors could be cleaner….just stating a fact. Breakfast was the same thing every morning waffles, eggs, and what seemed to be microwave sausage. Some days would be omelet, next day scrambled eggs but never deviated from that. Coffee selections were BOLD and DECAF (nothing in between). For a Marriott this size, the laundry room only had one working washing machine…a hindrance when traveling with kids. Constantly waiting in someone else to do laundry.

A great stay! Would love for them to have more breakfast options.
Pros:

The 2 pools were nice. Great location. Staff excellent. I loved how housekeeping left a note to say why they wouldn’t make up the bed because of personal items. Not mad at all about that because I didn’t know if they were going to or not. 10/10
