Hampton Terrace Inn

The inn was lovely! This was our first visit to the Berkshires and our stay was very enjoyable. It is located within walking distance to downtown with ample shipping and restaurants.
When you arrive the inn provides a helpful collection of information and recommendations for things to do in the area. We met Stan, the owner and he was very helpful in recommending tips for our trip to Tanglewood.
The breakfasts were delicious and the chef checked in during our meal and he was very welcoming.

Lovely Inn in picturesque Lenox, Massachusetts. Owner - Stan - very welcoming, personable, and on premises so responds quickly by text to any issues. Very clean. Service great. Cook and breakfast host wonderful - very personable and great and complete breakfast every morning with a special of the day and other options. Small heated pool which is refreshing and a joy. Rooms well decorated, supplied well, and comfortable. Air conditioning most welcome in a hot week in the 90s. Lenox area has so many thing so offer - walking paths, Tanglewood, Jacob Pillow dance, Shakespeare theatre, The Mount and other historic homes & gardens, The Clark museum (1 hours away), Norman Rockwell museum in Stockbridge, MOCA in North Adam’s. This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Hampton Inn and we will definitely return! Lenox area also have great restaurants.

This Inn is truly the gem of the Berkshires! Wonderful breakfast daily, outstanding staff ,accommodating Innkeeper, lovely pool, close to public tennis courts, and great location - within walking distance to shops , restaurants and best of all Tanglewood.

Great bnb in heart of Lenox and right next door to Lenox community center with public tennis and pickleball courts. Lovely heated pool. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Easy check-in. Very responsive host.

Had a wonderful stay at this elegant inn in the heart of historic Lenox. It was our first time at Hampton Terrace though we are frequent travelers to Lenox over the last 2 decades. Innkeeper Stan was a gracious host and shared some history of his ownership of the Inn with us. He served up great hot breakfasts. Common spaces are elegantly appointed and the rooms are comfy and typical of historic inns of the era. In other words, don’t expect large marble bathrooms with plenty of counter space. If that’s your need— stick to Hilton or Marriott or a luxury property at triple the rate. But for those who value the history and charm of Gilded Age properties, this is a great place for the price. Hampton Terrace has some lovely touches— seamless checkin, plentiful bottles of cold water available in the fridge; free cordials in the bar and glasses and accessories aplenty should you desire to BYOB and relax on the side verandah (which we did). There is also a heated pool on the property which is great for hot afternoons. The location is also great— walkable to Shakespeare & Co., Ventfort Hall and the shops and restaurants of historic Lenox. Park the car and leave it. Great stay— Thanks Stan and Susan.

Lovely accommodations, delicious breakfast. Owner/innkeeper was very knowledgeable about the house and local history.

We have stayed at the Hampton Terrace 3 times now and it still does not disappoint. We usually stay in the main house but this year we stayed in the house outback and the room was just as lovely, spacious and clean. They have an ideal location being able to walk into town and an easy drive to Tanglewood. Breakfast was well done again and this year we met Sal who was just as friendly and helpful as Stan in previous stays. Of course we also saw Stan and heard that Tanglewood is looking to add more shows so who knows maybe next year we will stay two times during the season. My husband of course made time to go in the pool I enjoyed sitting on a chair enjoying the sun during that time. Highly recommend staying at the Hampton Terrace.

À step back in time with the lovely antiques thoughtfully styled. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very very good.

We just spend our first overnight at the Hampton Terrace Inn and loved it. It is in a perfect location; an easy walk to town. Before we walked in for dinner, we enjoyed having a glass of wine on their lovely side porch with views of their beautiful grounds. We had a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Hampton Terrace Inn is a charming, comfortable, lovely B&B. The house is so tastefully decorated, and the host is very gracious. Breakfast was lavish and delicious, with delicious French toast one morning and omelette another. The Inn seems to attract great people, and everyone is enthusiastic about their stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was a treat to play the beautiful Steinway in the living room. Stan is full of great stories about the history of the Inn and especially the piano. Finally, the pool is delightful. We enjoyed the location, walking distance from great restaurants, and a little cognac after our day at the Mount.

Excellent - I chose one of the suites [ vs Main House]. From moment, we parked on Saturday all way to Monday's checkout, hosts were reachable. The room itself- Excellent layout. I loved the separate jacuzzi and separate shower. My other-half prefers baths! I like showering so we were able to use our time wisely. This B&B is centrally located downtown Lenox, it is easy to walk to restaurants. Clean, well stocked, gorgeous breakfast. And wonderful people. We are definitely going back. [ Lenox is driving distance to North Adams, Stockbridge, Great Barrington etc]. This B&B [ ourvsuite] felt much like a home. And a retreat. Highly recommend.

Wonderful repeat stay at the Hampton Terrace Inn. Comfortable rooms with the all the amenities one could want, great breakfasts with big selection, and very attentive owner who goes out of his way to ensure a great stay. Perfect location also - - close but not too close to downtown Lenox with restaurants and shops. We’ve been coming here yearly for umpteen years and hope to continue for many more.

My wife and I had a great time at a truly wonderful place. We celebrated her birthday and she was totally surprised with what Stan, the owner, had set up in our room for her. Sal, the chef, is a gem at the inn especially for his food and services. Breakfast was a real treat. As for the inn, it's a living museum that's really fun to see the objects. Lovely B&B, very clean, breakfast was delicious and the owner and staff super friendly and helpful.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay! We had a wonderful room with a fireplace and a very comfortable bed. Close to some great restaurants. Stan was great with communication, and Sal the chef made delicious breakfast in the morning. The complimentary cordials at the end of the day was a great treat. Hopefully we will get back at some time.

Gorgeous property

We had a great stay here over a long weekend. Everything at the property and in our cottage was exactly as described on the web site and in communications. The communications before and during our stay were spot-on. Everything worked as expected and we had no issues at all. We hope to return again in the future!
