Pros:

The people were very polite and friendly and very helpful with whatever you needed and it had a nice pool and bedrooms were decent sized

Cons:

The complimentary breakfast could have been better but it had choices of cereals and muffins but nothing like hot pancakes or sausage or bacon but they tried their best with the small staff they had

Just so unpleasant

The toilet had pee on it when we checked in. There was glitter all over the room. When we checked in they were very unprofessional. Once again, the pool was closed for cleaning- like every other time we have stayed there. Two days after we were there I noticed they charged me for my room even though I pre paid through Booking.com. When I called they were very rude and said the manager would call me back. I had to ask if she wanted my number. She sounded annoyed I did. Will not stay there again nor recommend to anyone else

We were out most of the time... we slept comfortably
Pros:

Breakfast.... only a few pasteries. We went to Ihop.
The A/C was on and our room nice and cool when we arrived

Cons:

Shower head wasnt attached correctly... spraying water up onto ceiling.
There was a hole in hallway wall... with the piece of sheetrock and debris left.
No one at front desk at 7am even tho sign said someone would be there at 6am. And no one picked up desk phone where you were supposed to be able to reach someone.
Only 1 bath towel... 2 of us staying... had to go to desk for another towel.

Okay, but definitely not great
Pros:

Price during the Sioux Empire Fair

Cons:

It wasn't good when we walked in the door to check in and the guy was on his cell phone, and we had to wait for him to get off his phone. The hallways had garbage in them with pool towels throughout the hallways.

don't stay here its cheap for a reason

the room was cheaply put together the mattress had a table underneath it the room had a smell to it that my pregnant wife didn't care for the title was coming apart it looked like something chewed on the door to the room next to us and we could hear people moving around at all times of the night so not a good night sleep either the air conditioner was set at 60 and it was freezing cold in the room not a great stay at all we won't be back

Great stay
Pros:

The staff and room were wonderful, extremely clean and welcoming. Quiet night in a lovely room.

Cons:

At the time of visiting, the hot tub was out of order, and the dryer didn't dry well. However, staff assisted us with the latter and it all worked out.

Price and the pool.

Cons:

Floor in room was super dirty. Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn’t always available during posted times and items ran out or not put out. Staff were regularly not available to get services.

After my experience I will not be returning to the Dakota.
Pros:

My room was comfortable and the lobby had a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Cons:

The first day there was no breakfast provided. The carpet in my room needed cleaned badly. The shower needs repaired. The day of my checkout no one was at the desk to assist me. I called from the phone on the desk. There was a lady that answered and said she would be out. 15 minutes past and she had still not come to the desk. I appreciated when the maintenance man came by he tried to help me even though he was not sure how to gain access to the computer to help me. If someone would have came I would have expressed my concerns to them.

Was ok for the night in a pinch but would not stay again and would not recommended.
Pros:

Good location off the highway and close enough to town to be convenient.

Cons:

Room was dirty, smelled of wet towels/wet dog. Obvious that the pool usage was drawn into the room and the humidity was generating some mildew/mold issues by the smell of the room. Bathroom was in need of some repair.

Staff was very helpful. The manager was nice and very helpful.
