Staying here at moment leaving tomorrow,fantastic hotel from you arrive to reception staff so friendly and helpfull,accommodation spotless,always someone cleaning around lobby and toilets throughout the day and evenings.food is delicious ,breakfast so fresh no matter what time u go down..always topping up and replacing with fresh food all time..

Clybaun Hotel
Pros:

We stayed at the Clybaun Hotel for two nights while in Galway. The staff was overly accommodating and very prompt with any questions we had. The rooms were clean and offered a lot of space for us. The only tricky thing about the property is the parking. It fills up quickly. If the lot is full, just pull over and wait for a bit and one spot should open up.

Very clean hotel staff were helpful

Cons:

There was no air conditioning in the rooms my mother who is 70 and brother both have asthma and found it very hot and no clammy. We did have a fan in the room but I’m very surprised that a 4 star hotel in this day and age hadn’t air conditioning in the rooms. If this was stated we would not have booked this hotel with temperatures between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius. The leisure centre jacuzzi had chunks missing out of the floor the steam room had tiles missing both on the floor and seating area. And there was no staff member or life guard anywhere near the pool while we were there for one hour and 40 minutes. Very dangerous.

Perfect Base for Exploring Galway & Connemara
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Clybaun Hotel Galway and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The staff were exceptional throughout our stay, especially the front desk team. They were always warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, whether it was providing local recommendations or assisting with any request. Their hospitality made us feel right at home.

One of the biggest highlights was the complimentary access to the excellent leisure centre next door. The swimming pool, gym, and other facilities were fantastic and added so much value to our stay—especially for families.

Although the hotel isn’t in Galway city centre, we actually found the location to be one of its greatest strengths. It serves as an ideal base for exploring the region, with easy access to Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, the Cliffs of Moher, and other scenic day trips, while avoiding the hassle of driving through city traffic every day.

The breakfast was fresh, varied, and a great way to start each morning before heading out to explore.

Overall, Clybaun Hotel offers excellent value, outstanding service, great facilities, and a convenient location for discovering the beauty of western Ireland. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable Stay
Pros:

Breakfast was beautiful, a good variety of options. Staff were very friendly and rooms were exceptional clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Opening times for pool should be extended for children. It was very disappointing to arrive on our first day to be told pool was closed at 7pm for children. A few families were turned away that same day.
