Great place to stay
Pros:

Stayed there recently for a walking and site seeing holiday and would recommend this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bar area is nice and there are other areas where you can sit. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was good and plenty of dishes were available. The weather was kind to us. Thank you for making my holiday. Hopefully I can return sometime. All the best for the future.

Very disappointing
Pros:

On arrival the staff were cold and uninviting. Didn't look up to acknowledge the large group in front of them, dispite having nobody at the check-in desk. Their first interaction was "what's you name"?. No hello, or welcome.
The rooms were very simple and clean, but old and out-dated - did not feel like 4 star.
No greetings from staff at any point of my stay, in the lobby or at breakfast.
The bar area was dirty (crumbs on the sofas, sticky tables) and had a funny smell, so we all left to go into town for a nicer experience.
The breakfast staff seemed very inexperienced and unfriendly.

Top Irish hospitality
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Kay in the dining room made our stay the more special. The hotel was clean, the pool was enjoyable and the beautiful grounds were full of nature.

Room not as described
Pros:

"Woodland" deluxe room was looking out at a carpark and definitely not as advertised when booking. Staff were very friendly. No wheelchair accessibility to the pool due to renovation works which reception seemed to be unaware of when giving directions to said access point.

Give breakfast a kiss
Pros:

Traveled mid May. Rooms were lovely very comfortable. We did eat in the bar the evening we arrived and the food there was grand.
Breakfast in the morning was really terrible. We went down to breakfast with an hour left to when they were to finish serving.
Much of the hot food was inedible. Scrambled eggs on offer were green. Mushrooms were like rubber. Sausages and rashers were really greasy.
I had a plate of hot food I left untouched apart from a fried egg as it was disgusting. They ran out of pastries.
It was such a 180 from the night before in the bar.
Needs much improvement in the quality of breakfast served.

Overall very enjoyable. Brilliant staff. Clean rooms.
Pros:

Decent breakfast. Good quality ingredients. Great bar food. Simple menu with good food. Only quibble re bar food is it states menu until 9.00 but some options were not available after 6.00 and this was not clear on menu.

Cons:

No information pack in room 404. No drinking water until it was explained that filter on bathroom tap was for drinking water. Also I do not carry cash and was unable to add tip for staff when getting bar food. I think that is unfair as was able to tip in other restaurants with card.
