Nothing
The staff were so so nice and we really appreciated the wonderful service from everyone, the lady at breakfast was exceptionally good at her job ( think she was resturant manager),friendly, helpful and just a pleasure to meet ,a lovely finish to our stay .
All was great 👍
We had a lovely time and very good value would recommend this place - easy to access tourists spots and also a 15 min stroll in to Westport was great
Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent although had to wait a while on eggs.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Pool area and changing rooms a bit outdated but there seems to be work going on at the moment so this could change in the near future.
Breakfast was good and location was also good
I hadn't a good experience while getting dressed when someone opened my door thinking it was someone else's room no knock on door to check if anyone in it.but no one came to explain or apologise tat it was staff member tat made a mistake. I had to approach reception to find out who had opened my door I got a cold apology and told it was a staff member .
An impressive reception, nice room and excellent facilities. 1 excellent breakfast in the 3 days we stayed.
We arrived a few minutes early and were told our room was not ready. We were asked to take a seat which was fair enough. Reception proceeded to book in people who arrived after us. So I had to queue again and the receptionist appeared to have no recollection of me. A fire alarm went off on the first night. We got no correspondence from the hotel regarding this in the subsequent days. On the second evening we struggled to find a takeaway so asked for tea and toast at reception. We were told this was not possible as the kitchen was closed. Breakfast service was chaotic with very inexperienced staff who did not seem to know to take orders for tea and coffee. The hot breakfast was poor over the weekend. There was a different chef working on the Monday and food on that day was exceptional.
The location is really nice. Some parts of the hotel look really lovely and you can see potential to be a real good wedding location with a bit of modernisation etc The breakfast buffet was really good including a good glutenfree selection. The Spa is supposed to be nice and I was looking fwd to it Unfortunately it is only accessible through a flight of stairs or by going around most part of the hotel. Which was not doable for me as a wheelchair user in the really bad weather we had. The staff was mostly friendly but not outstanding
For a big hotel like this with a massive carpark there were only 3 wheelchair parking spaces close to the entrance that were of course already taken on our arrival. Some more spaces would be definitely needed as we were not the only ones that could not use the spots. The hotel has some really dated parts, lack of maintenance on the outside with really bad spots f.e close to the partly lovely back garden for weddings. You look left and see nice area you look right and see an ugly door in desperate need of paint.. and that goes on nice vs overgrown weeds etc. We booked an accessible room which took 3 attempts to get a reply,
Our room was at the end of a very long narrow halway with deep carpet.. bit of a nightmare for a manual wheelchair user. The door to the room was not widened and needed some maneuvering to get through. The room was kind of dated furniturewise. Only the single bed was low enough for a transfer.. The double bed (2 single bed jointed which led to a painful hard middle part and 2 different mattress strenght or usage statuses not comfortable) was quite high. The accessible bathroom was joined onto the standard bathroom which means you had through the normal bathroom into the next one. The seat on the accessible toilet was very wobbly which was a bit of a struggle. Also the grab bar besides the toilet could not be fixed upright The toilet was not in good shape as was the shower chair which has seen better days All in all a case for maintenance/update. The window of the room was only barely openable which made it hard to sleep in the sticky room. We found dust in various spots and the hairdryer was really disgusting, full of hairs that were kinda stuck or burned into the plastic. The bar food was not really tasteful, half cold and took ages to come.
Hotel ideal location, staff very helpful and friendly.
The weather.. 😭
Lovely rooms and very good food in the restaurant. Very nice staff.
The Breakfast was Fair staff were friendly and helpful
location is lovely.
We checked in at 5 .
given our room number & door access card
to discover a uncleaned unflushed toilet
with what appears to be body hair shavings on the toilet bowl absolutely disgusting.
we were given a up graded room .
No jacuzzi as advertised due to on going works & no male changing area.
