It’s a lot better than when I came before
No fan in the rooms and it was red hot and there was only 1 lift working so was quite hard with 3 kids
Good location
The lifts not working
Staff unhelpful
Trying to find our room was a nightmare
The live entertainment was good
The cleaners only come on our last day was there for 4 nights
The clean room was clean, unfortunately the seagulls kept me awake, but that is not the fault of the hotel.
The location. Close to all amenities.
We stayed here for the 2nd time as it's open 24 hours as we went to shows at the Open Air Theatre.
So it was convenient we didn't have to knock on the front doors or ring bells.
The amazing aspect of the hotel inside and out is 🤩
Location and well kept heritage reception
We found out that the hotel is known locally by taxi drivers as the dump and on this basis it did not disappoint.
We are frequent travellers and have come to trust our booking ap and are top level users.
We paid £177 for a standard room for a night well in advance! The walk in rate was £77 that night and £47 the following night!
Our mistake but the marketing showed large floor to ceiling windows in a large room with a sitting area.
We were given an attic room on the sixth floor (2 lifts required) with three fans in current heatwave it was like an oven.
Previous guests used towels and shoes left in wardrobe, rubbish on floor, damp to ceiling and pealing paint. The window was less than 60 sq cm and had one small
quarter panel.
On discussion with the duty manager we were offered two further rooms also falling welll short of marketing material for a standard room.
We were then offered a £40 upgrade for a family room we are a couple! Having agreed we were then directed to a long queue to pay. We decided to remain in original room which only one person could move around at a time as there was less than 50cm at end of bed and not more around the sides and a small desk and no seating area.
In dire need of upgrade..long overdue
My husband is disabled whom is unable to monover freely due to be wheelchair bound with his physical disability, we booked a ground floor room due to his physical needs and incase of emergency we would need to use his wheelchair as an exit, on arrival was told no ground floor rooms had been cleaned at 3.30pm however this was pre booked in advance and they allowed a wheelchair user without use of their legs to access a room on the second floor which would resulted in an emergency to be able to evacuate safely! Due to his physical needs of no legs! This morning it took myself and my husband 25 minutes to get down to the ground floor by lift! Baring in mind he should have had a ground floor room! The room was not cleaned was not upto standard as he as to shuffle around and the carpet was disgusting! I expect we get a full refund as this was suppose to be our honey moon weekend the full experience was a nightmare! And considering it wasn’t fully adapted for full disability needs!! Ruined our weekend
All of it
It’s a lovely old building and had a beautiful sea view
Nothing really except the lift to our room.. it was very slow and bumpy.. could do with some work on it
Where it was situated and the staff all really friendly and the whirlpool bath which I didn't expect!
Curly black hair in the bath and mattress a bit hard for my liking.
Location, breakfast was ok
lovely old building
