In the heart of Scarborough
Pros:

Price and location, plus the entertainment. The staff were so accommodating and polite

Cons:

The lift to go down to the basement rooms is old, slow and makes an awful noise. The light in the room was filthy

copeable for one night as a base after a night out but couldn’t stay any longer it’s dirty dingy and disappointing
Pros:

the terraced bar was lovely to sit out on onto the sea front took us 40 mins to find our room as the staff just tell you the number and your off, we stopped to ask somewhere for help and they where rude and just didn’t help at all, you got complementary bottles of water which had been opened and refilled, the room had a fridge which smelt like it had never been cleaned, everything was covered in dust which indicated to me it hasn’t been cleaned, when a room costs your £177 you expect a lot more then this i deffo won’t be coming back

Cons:

the room was awful, full of damp, dusty and hell, the bathroom was horrible and dirty, upgraded to a see view but couldn’t see out the windows for muck,
just wasn’t nice at all

Ok for a nights stay and somewhere to lay your head but choose somewhere else for a holiday
Pros:

The building is/was lovely. Unfortunately it needs a lot of TLC to keep its original grand features

Cons:

It’s a very tired place. The whole places needed a lot smartening up. Dirty threadbare carpets and laundry baskets on the corridors with used sheets spilling out of them, this was at 12am so not when they were actually cleaning the rooms.
Such a shame as it’s got potential to be a stunning hotel

Pros:

Location is great, entertainment even mid week, lovely staff, comfy room, beautiful staircase and lobby area, fridge in room, pet friendly, lovely relaxed atmosphere

Cons:

The lifts aren’t good, luckily we were only on second floor so took the stairs but I have a bad knee so wouldn’t have been able to climb higher and was in pain
