We had a great time in Cape Town! The staff at this hotel was marvelous and the restaurant was also good. The waterfront area is a perfect home base for exploring.
Brilliant position
Great location right in the heart of the Waterfront. Breakfast was delicious each morni g and the restaurant staff were very attentive.
Price was a bit high for a room with sloped ceiling.
Perfect location. Lovely hotel
Location/ food
Cost
Great location, spacious room.
Maintenance of rooms is quite poor: squeaky bathroom doors, leaky shower etc. The hotel generally feels a little tired.
The location is lovely. The food on the breakfast buffet is delicious. The early morning staff who brought me room service filter coffee at 4am are incredible.
The hotel seriously needs a major facelift. The aircon needs replacing, the beds are too soft, the pillows are saggy etc. Please management - paying these prices per night and having only instant coffee in the room is very 20th century. Keep up! And what about different types of herbal teas in the room?
Location
Cleaning and noise
The location was perfect , inside the Waterfront making it convenient to walk instead of driving .close to my appointments
The request to clean the room was not well noted , meaning that the toilet and basins were not regularly cleaned or wiped off .
It was very costly for a 4 day stay . The Room was a loft design making it awkward to use and free the space in the room.
The response to collecting the parked car was very " slack"
As always, V&A has the best location in the waterfront.
A wonderful breakfast adds up to the service level
Besides from a bad option of room (rooftop room with only roof windows (no view), the I existence of room service was remarkable on the downside. A breakfast (coffee, orange juice and toast) was requested for an early flight wake up time (05:00), without having been served or any apologies offered.
Great location at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
The rooms were very bright, clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly.
The breakfast buffet did not provide for guests to have toast and the Danish pastries were a little stale, but otherwise very good.
