The check-in process was very smooth and efficient. The staff were warm and attentive, communicating with me via email several times before my arrival to inquire about my needs. The hotel's location is fantastic, not far from the airport, and Chiang Mai Old City is within walking or taxi distance. The hotel staff, Brian and Nunn, were incredibly welcoming and provided me with a variety of services and assistance. The 16th floor of the hotel houses Teresa Teng's room, which can be visited and used for afternoon tea.

My stay on 13-18 May 2026 absolutely perfect. I was given a warm welcome by Khun Fai who lead me to have a personalize check-in at the couch. My IHG elite status was recognized and I was given a complimentary room upgrade as well.
Khun Brian was detailed during the room orientation. He also introduce me the area around the hotel through the beautiful view of Doi Suthep.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you for the birthday cake it was delicious.
Lastly. I would like to thank you Khun Mike from the concierge. He was very kind and patience as I had lots of questions. He also catch up with me personally during my stay ensure I had good experiences and always offer assistance.
Also thank you to Khun Woody who handle my check- out smoothly.

Another superlative stay: this is our third stay in the beautiful Intercontinental Chiang Mai. Our previous reviews have been posted in Google Reviews; the tripadvisor platform allows easier reviews for multiple stays especially for such an amazing property. (So do refer to my Google reviews under Dion Chan for more hotel pictures and reviews).
We have just completed a three nights stay in the rainy season. As a Diamond Ambassador member with the annual lounge pass, and being a repeated customer, we are warmly welcomed upon check-in by Fern, Noi and Noon in the Club Intercontinental. With Fern and Noi (whom we knew from our prior visits), we spent quite a lot of time over the entire stay catching up, especially with the new club wing being constructed.
Having stayed in this property since the beginning allows us to have an intimate understanding of the evolution of the hotel through these years.
Over the various days, we chatted with the other lounge staff whom we recognised since our prior stay (such as Fairy) and also new faces (such as Ozone). We had a great time catching up with the gentlemen Brian (bellman) and Yohan (concierge) whom we knew since our prior visits. During our visits to Gad Lanna, we chatted with new faces and caught up with familiar faces (Minnie, Yaya and others whose names we have sadly missed). It has always been a warm welcome to our second home in Thailand.
For this trip: Special thanks to Nam (Tasha) from F&B (who singlehandedly made this visit very special for us with her amazing issue resolution in terms of F&B). We are very touched with her kind gesture and I am very pleased to know that the F&B standards is still of a high level.
We cannot wait to be back after the construction of the new club wing!

My partner and I just finished an 8-night stay at the InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping, and it was absolutely amazing. The hospitality, genuine smiles, and warmth from all the staff here were incredibly welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and it was lovely getting to know some of the team so well.
A special mention to Bryan, Thierry, and Mike at the front of house. Your lovely personalities, excellent recommendations for places to go and things to see, and genuine interest in how we were doing really stood out.
Another special mention goes to Nui, Tristan, Fern, Toy, Fairy and Poy in the Club Lounge. Your hospitality was so warm and welcoming every single day. You all have infectious smiles that brightened up our days, even when it was raining.

Brian the bell man is extremely helpful , patient and speaks excellent English and he had made the check in experience so much more bearable as the concierge gave us a wrong room based on our booking request. Finally we managed to check in with ease after changed to a new room.
Our five-day, four-night stay was truly elevated by the Club InterContinental experience, from the deluxe breakfast and elegant afternoon tea to the evening cocktails. However, what made our stay unforgettable was the personalized and heartfelt service provided by Ozone.
From the very first day we arrived for check-in, Ozone welcomed us with genuine warmth. Throughout our entire stay, he consistently took the initiative to greet us and even remembered each of our names. Human beings are naturally born with the ability to sense sincerity, and we felt his dedication and warmth completely.
