Staff rooms everything
Nothing
This was my second visit to The Mad Hatter. I absolutely LOVED my first stay and that is why we returned. The rooms are comfortable, the location is excellent and the staff are kind and attentive.
I know The Mad Hatter cannot control the weather. We were there during the hottest heatwave in 80 years. And I’m aware most buildings in London do not have AC. It never crossed my mind that it would be brutally hot in May. While there is AC in the lobby and pub, there is none in the rooms. Again, not a problem. The problem I had is that the windows in my room did not open more than 3 inches (from the base) so we could not get any breeze whatsoever. It was stifling. I should have requested to transfer to their sister property that does have nice cold AC in the rooms. That is an error on my part as I did not wish to be extra.
Great location on the south bank - close to National Theatre, Waterloo and Tate. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast - lots of choice and tasty. Very clean rooms.
The rubble pit at the back wasn’t great to look out on but aware the hotel can’t do much about that; having to ring a doorbell if back after a certain time; a good fan was in the room but no air con. A little on the pricey side - I’ve paid a cheaper price recently for 4 star hotel stays in Covent Garden and Paddington. All in all though, I would stay again if looking for a hotel in this location.
The staff were exceptionally helpful & friendly. Room was very comfortable & quiet. Breakfast was fantastic.
Fantastic location and staff was top notch!
Could have used air conditioning but it wasn’t too bad.
Theme, pub, staff
No air conditioning, but they did have fans
Hyggelig personale, nydelig frokost, stort, rent og fint rom.
The location.The breakfast was good.
There was no air conditioning and the room was hot as the temperature was in the 80’s.
Omanlaatuinen,leikkisä lämmin tunnelma
Sattui helleaalto eikä ollut ilmastointia huoneessa.
Super Früstück und 1a Personal
Close to Thames and central London.
Excellent breakfast.
The room had a view over a vacant site onto Blackfriars Road. I enjoyed theat ever changing view many times.
