Being apartment-style, breakfast wasn't provided, but there are plenty of other advantages:
1. Location: It's about a 10–15 minute walk to Central Station, which is quite close and makes getting to all the major sights very convenient.
2. Neighborhood: Located in a residential area, so it’s very quiet. However, because there are very few shops around at night, the streets can feel a bit dark—it's best not to walk alone after dark.
3. Amenities: The room features a kitchen with various cooking utensils, an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer-dryer. Laundry powders, dishwashing detergent, and other supplies are all available upon request from reception.
4. Comfort: The bed has a medium firmness, the quilts is plenty warm, and there’s a separate heater in the room.
1.Staff Attitude: There were two reception staff members working in rotation. One of them had a terrible attitude—while he would say "thank you," he would sneer or roll their eyes due to cultural differences, or show impatience if you asked a few extra questions, which left a really poor impression.
2. Cleanliness: During the stay, at least three cockroaches were found in the room. The cleaning standards are poor, and there was a thick layer of dust underneath the cabinets.
3. Facilities & Maintenance: The facilities are old, and a lightbulb in the kitchen was broken. The front desk staff should have double-checked this preference. Additionally, the indoor lighting overall felt very dim.
4. Reception Hours: The front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day—it closes at 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday, and at 4:00 PM on weekends. For travelers with late flights, this means having to make a phone call and wait for someone to come over just to check in.
5. Heating: The heater is only installed in the living room and kitchen area; there is no heating in the bedroom. If you close the bedroom door in the winter, it gets far too cold.
Parking very good. Room was good and warm. A small leak was happening with the downpour when I arrived on the kitchen bench. Once the rain stopped so did the leak.
No ,milk?? Dust under the lamp and only one lamp ? Cleaning standard was not good in the kitchen as floor very sticky.
Cute and cozy
Tv didnt work properly, couldn't connect my switch, was expected to use mobile data for streaming, live TV wouldn't freeze and stop working
WiFi connection constantly dropped out
Spa and Sauna ( the main reasons I chose this particular hotel) were clos3d for maintenance with no heads up or warning
Room git very cold but i wasn't aloud to turn the air con up higher than a certain temp or it would break down
The room was an affordable option for 3 people close to the University of Sydney. The parking was convenient and the staff were extremely helpful in accommodating our needs.
The staff were absolutely amazing. So lovely and accomodating to me being someone who comes from regional NSW and doesn’t know the city well.
Nothing. It was what we expected. Good location, clean and excellent parking.
Laundry facilities, all room facilities.
In a bit of a dark area for travellers who are walking alone.
Nothing
Nothing
It was clean and quiet comfortable and not to far from the airport
No spare blankets, and the tv didn’t work
central location but extremely noisy and not clean
bed sheets were dirty. Blinds do not block out the street lights and the room was exceptionally noisy
The place was tired but well presented. Jai on reception was fantastic and very helpful. It was a perfect location to visit our daughter who lives in Chippendale.
For me, the location was perfect. It's easy to walk into the city, but also get into Newtown (hipster cafe area), Oxford Street (clubbing/ bar area), the train station is just nearby, and there's good food and coffee options. I went every day to the bakery on the corner, really recommend it.
There's also lots of food options nearby because there's a kind of china town about 7 minutes walk away.
The room itself was very big, with a kitchen and balcony and tables inside. There's even a washing machine and dishwasher. The gym on the premises isn't bad, you can definitely do a workout.
The staff I dealt with were beyond nice. Really helpful and very kind.
The rooms are a little dated now and could probably do with an update, but for the price I still thought it was good value. My room also smelt slightly as though someone had smoked in it in the past, which wasn’t ideal.
One small thing I didn’t love was the Bible in the room. I appreciate this may be traditional in some hotels, but in 2026 it feels a little out of step with the diversity of guests who may be staying there. Personally, I think it would feel more inclusive to keep religious texts available on request at reception, rather than placing them in every room.
