Beautifully updated hotel in charming historic building
Pros:

Hotel Sven Vintaparre was an absolute dream: incredibly charming and right in the heart of the old town of Stockholm. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was lovely, and it felt like we were living a piece of history with modern conveniences. (Note: the stairs are very narrow and winding so not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.)

Cons:

Some of the blackout shades were partially broken, but it didn't impact us much. The stairs were a little terrifying with luggage but well worth it!

Simply Amazing – Highly Recommended!
Pros:

Simply amazing! The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and in the perfect location for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly kind.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind: as it’s an old building, there is no lift, and the stairs are quite narrow and steep, which could be challenging if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Also, there isn’t a hair dryer in the room.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

Pros:

Værelser levede helt op til forventningerne og så charmen ved at være en del af et museum forstået at bygningerne var 300-400 år gamle og der var beboer i bygningerne

Würde diese Unterkunft wieder wählen - originell und zentral.
Pros:

Die Lage mitten in Gamla Stan ist super. Das Zimmer war ebenfalls toll - allerdings kann man die Schritte des Zimmers oberhalb sehr gut hören. Nachts hört man das Stadtleben-allerdings überhaupt nicht störend.
Die sehr steile Treppe in unser Zimmer ist gewöhnungsbedürftig - gut zu machen - aber doch eine Herausforderung für meine 87-jährige Mutter- habe das nicht ganz realisiert bei der Buchung.

Cons:

Der Frühstücksraum ist bei Vollbelegung sehr eng und es ist schwierig sich am Buffet zu bedienen ohne die anderen Gäste zu stören.

Pros:

We only stayed one night but it was an excellent stay and we'd return. Only 7 rooms so peaceful. You let yourself in which made it easy. Breakfast was concise but very good and plentiful. The afternoon coffee and cake was greatly appreciated after our journey. It was quiet despite its central location. Thank you for providing a good fan.

Cons:

The bathroom was tiny and cramped but the space is what it is! The lighting was very dim in the main room and hard to read by. Bring eye mask as curtains let in a lot of light.

Eine besonders charmante Unterkunft im Herzen der Altstadt.
Pros:

Die ganz besondere Ausstrahlung des jahrhundertealten Gebäudes mitten in der Altstadt, die Größe des Zimmers, die außergewöhnlich freundliche Gastgeberin und das von ihr vorbereitete Frühstück mit frisch gebackenen Quarktaschen, deren Duft das Hotel durchzieht, kombiniert mit leiser Musik.

Cons:

Durch die Altstadtlage mit viel Gastronomie in der Nähe ist mit lauten Gästen draußen zu rechnen. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern stören sie kaum. Das Gebäude bleibt auch im Hochsommer kühl, daher brauchen die Fenster nicht offen bleiben.

Disappointing and not a place I wanted to spend time in
Pros:

The location was fantastic

Cons:

We expected the building to be old but the place was also rundown. The shower head fixture wouldn’t stay up so it became a hand held. The shower was essentially a drain the corner of the bathroom with a curtain you pulled around when you wanted to shower. They provided a squeegee to scrape the water from the floor when you were done so that the entire bathroom floor did not remain wet. Never saw any real staff and the breakfast was the same every day with no heated options

Perfekt boende i Gamla stan, gammaldags men väl fungerande och mysigt.
Pros:

Härligt gammaldags hotell, välkomnande trevlig personal och mysig frukostyta, litet men gemytligt.

Cons:

Trångt sovrum, toadörr tog i sängen, litet badrum.
