The Festival of Music & Dancing during Willy Clancy Week runs from July 7th 2024 until July 14th 2024 at The Armada Hotel. The hotel hosts Ceili's and Trad sessions, Feast Nights and Dance classes. Due to these functions, there will be a certain level of noise at all times during the week and into the early hours of the morning.

L'estimation de ce séjour est particulièrement difficile
On va dire en résumé que c'est hôtel à un potentiel 10+ en raison d'une situation geographique excellente en bord de d'ocean atlantique dans une zone ayant une histoire avec un hôtel lui même ayant un historique interessant avec des chambres spacieuses confortables même si la vue n'est pas top pour toutes les chambres. Des pieces supposées de repos, de lecture. Une terrasse avec vue sur l'ocean. Le hic c'est ce que l'on a pas apprécié
Tout d'abord 3 restaurants avec une musique insupportable trop forte ressemblant à de la musique d'ascenseur.
J'ai fait 2000 km en train et en voiture pour avoir la même musique que dans le centre commercial pas loin de chez moi. De plus il y avait le premier soir (le repas du soir) plus de bruit qu'à King cross ou Saint Pancras à Londres aux heures de pointes dans ces restaurants. C'etait insupportable, alors que la nourriture en elle-même etait bien.
Le problème c'est que c'etait tous les soirs comme cela et pas sur une exception. Mais lorsque je suis allé dans la grande pièce ou l'on peut lire et se relaxer même topo musique forte. Même le matin à 8h !!! et lorsqu'on a demandé de mettre moins fort, cela a été fait mais 10 minutes plus tard quelqu'un est repassé pour mettre plus fort tout cela dans une pièce ou il est specifiquement inscrit à l'entrée que c'est une pièce de tranquillité. Nous allions à 7h30 pour déjeuner et parfois avec peu de monde on avait quand même cette musique. Je ne sais pas à quoi pensent les managers qui dans des tas d'endroits nous assourdissent avec de la musqiue nous empechant de savourer l'endroit mais dans ce cas précis vu le potentiel extraordinaire c'est affligeant. Peut etre que les gens ne font que passer et ne disent rien en pensant que cela doit être comme cela. Et bien non ...
Staff were very friendly, especially at the reception. The room was very clean and comfortable.
The restaurants are too loud, very unpleasant. The acoustic really needs to be reviewed.

Breakfast was great, really nice setting and food was excellent. The spread of food for the buffet was lovely and wait service was also great.
Our family room was so cosy and lovely with beautiful view of beach.. real nice touch was the kids packages of juice, crisps and colouring. As well as milk, cookies and chocolates. Our kids loved the hotel and play area on the 2nd floor. Walking distance to the beach.. staff were so friendly and inviting.. we enjoyed dinner at Johnny burkes and it was gorgeous. we will be back!
Honestly have nothing to add here, could t fault our stay other than should have stayed another night!

Die Lage direkt am Meer war sehr schön.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
Das Zimmer war sehr gross und gemütlich.
Das Abendessen war sehr köstlich und es hatte für jeden etwas passendes dabei. Die Aussicht auf das Meer wärend des essens hat das ganze perfekt gemacht.
Das Frühstück war das beste auf unserer Reise durch Irland.
Die Steckdosen im Zimmer waren nicht für EU Stecker geeignet. Wichtig Reiseadapter mitnehmen.
Food and service in the Ocean Bistro was excellent. Most of the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our ocean view room had been tastefully refurbished, though some items were too big (round footstool, bedside lamps and tables) and left little space for our belongings.
The service in Aileen's restaurant was poor - we waited 50 minutes for our main courses. Larger groups seemed to be prioritised. The take away food service enabled non residents and children to use the chairs, picnic tables and grass area at the back of the hotel, leaving little room for guests to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The room safe was not fixed in position so it was not fit for purpose.
