The accommodation itself was good. We had a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment which was modern, clean and had a nice balcony. The layout worked really well for a family. The only issue was that the shower in the master bedroom leaked, and the room was very cold for the first few nights, meaning we had to request extra blankets. Whilst modern, the room did feel a little plain.
The hotel’s biggest strengths are its location and entertainment. Being right on the beach was lovely. The sea was crystal clear, full of fish, and there was a small pier you could walk along. There are sunbeds and umbrellas available, although these are charged at €10 per sunbed and €10 per umbrella! We also loved the little beach café which served freshly squeezed orange juice for around €4.
The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic and were the highlight of our holiday. Their energy was incredible and the evening shows were genuinely impressive. We don’t normally stay up for hotel entertainment, but we watched it every night. The Lion King show in particular was brilliant.
The pools were disappointing. Apart from the indoor pool, they were absolutely freezing. My children regularly came out with blue lips and struggled to stay in for long. The pirate ship pool looks amazing in photos, but in reality it mainly sprays freezing cold water from every direction, making it difficult for younger children to enjoy. On the positive side, there was never any issue finding sunbeds.
Food was average. There was plenty available, but it became repetitive very quickly. There was a lot of pork, pasta and paella throughout the week. I enjoyed the paella, although I didn’t think the seafood used was particularly good quality. The meat was often tough and fatty, and desserts were generally variations of coloured sponge cake with cream. The dining room itself felt dated, dark and not particularly welcoming, while the children’s food area gave us strong Butlins vibes.
Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the service. The gentleman who checked us in was lovely and gave us a great first impression, and the gentleman welcoming guests into the restaurant was also friendly. However, most other interactions with staff were surprisingly negative.
One evening there were no clean tables available in the restaurant, only tables covered in dirty plates and leftover food. I picked up two plates to try to clear a space for my family and a staff member named Louisa came over, grabbed them from me, shook her head and tutted. When I politely asked where she would have preferred me to put them, she ignored the question and continued shaking her head. She then spent the remainder of our meal glaring in our direction. This behaviour continued throughout the week and even my daughter was like “mum that lady’s staring at us again”.
Other staff members were similarly unfriendly. My youngest daughter happily waved and said hello to a member of staff clearing tables, only to be met with a scowl. Another member of staff working at the pool bar regularly slammed drinks onto the counter and was abrupt with guests. It created an atmosphere that felt quite uncomfortable at times. This was the younger guy, the older guy was much nicer and seemed a bit embarrassed by the younger guys behaviour.
One staff member who deserves special mention is the massage therapist. I paid €80 for a one-hour massage and it was worth every cent. She was incredibly kind, professional and gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had.
The location is nice if you’re looking for a beach holiday, but there isn’t much within walking distance beyond a couple of shops, a vegan restaurant and the beach itself. The nearest town is around a 10–15 minute bus ride away and is well worth visiting, with a beautiful beach, plenty of restaurants and a fantastic ice cream shop.
Overall, we had some lovely moments thanks to the beach, entertainment team and family time together. However, the poor attitude of several staff members had a significant impact on our experience. Sadly, because of this, we would not return.
Just returned from our 12th visit over the last 10 years, still as fabulous as ever, very well deserved your 4th star. The whole of the resort is beautifully maintained and an absolute credit to ALL the staff, from house keeping, maintenance, gardeners, reception, guest relations, bar staff, kitchen staff, management, entertainment, security, absolutely everyone makes a wonderful relaxing holiday. (apologies if I have missed a team out, it includes you aswell) Can you guess we love it. Can't wait for pur visit later in the year. MANY MANY THANKS, for your hospitality
All Inclusive includes terrible premade coctails, not premium liquors. Tap wine.
The food has no flavor. Little meat. Internet is slow. (Outside).
Perfect view of the sea. Room is ok. Bed is good.
13 days to go
Es hat uns gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war sehr gut. Wir bekamen 1 Upgrading. Sehr angenehm.
Currently still on holiday here at Cala Blanca.
This is my honest review of the hotel.
Reception
Staff were approachable and friendly, explained where places were within the resort, bonus lift to room.
Housekeeping
Throughout the week have kept the place clean.
Beds made and fresh towels everyday.
Restaurant
Kids buffet a bit repetitive but there are plenty of other options on the main buffet.
Theme nights bring something different, Seafood, Asian, Meat, Spanish, Italian
Desserts are amazing
Sweets available on the dessert buffet.
Waiting staff
Don't get enough credit. From taking your plates, sweeping floor and keeping restaurant tidy.
Chefs.
Thank you for your culinary skills.
Bar staff
Always smiling and interactive with customers, even when it's 5 deep at the bar
Animation Team
WOW JUST WOW. I have never been to a hotel with such talented staff.
If you ever get to see some of the shows you will understand.
Quiz night was fun, the host definitely got everyone involved.
Rooms
A bit dated, but you're only sleeping in there. Not spending all day in your room
New addition Flow rider.
Grandson tried it out. €50 1 hour optional €20 for t-shirt
very good overall, the man who welcomes people to the restaurant and shows them to their seat is particularly lovely he made us laugh every night and was very nice. the food is very good, very nice pools, one thing i would say is that the tex mex restaurant is very similar to mexican night in the restaurant so it can be repetitive
Perfect overnight stay before Yogafit check in next door the next morning. Staff even moved our suitcases over for us.
Directions not clear - map was numbered but the buildings were named, and the long uphill to drag my suitcase up
Viele Kinder, teilweise sehr laut. Eider keine eigene Strand mit Liegen. Badezimmer-Pflege, nur Seifenspende, Duschgel, Conditioener, aus!!!
Everything about the hotel, was beyond my expectations. The staff were fantastic. The cleaning girls were very helpful & worked very hard. The breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice & presented to perfection. All in all I loved the place.
Nothing
Excelentes condições do hotel que oferece otimas refeiçoes. Piscina interior e exterior impecáveis e acesso direto a praia.

Rooms were clean and spacious nice pools and furniture around them. Good padel and tennis facilities.
We asked for rooms beside each other and didn't get it even though the hotel wasn't busy. Breakfast was beige, no fresh fruit only canned. Staff didn't know about padel.- what courts were where, how to book, getting equipment etc.
