I have stayed at many Brittania Hotels... and this time at the Grand Burstin i am utterly shocked in them changing an extra £15 pn on my single Bedded Room as a Single Supplement for a Single Person... in total this trip is £45.00...
In September it looks like the same is happening at the Carrington House Hotel where I have a Single Room booked and they charging an extra £20 pn for a Single Bed in a Single Room uping the cost by another £60.00...
Absolutely discussed....
Location
Mattress was quite lumpy
Location is perfect lots to do at the harbor and right next to beach. Loved the evening entertainment so much fun.!
Having to pay extra for parking at the hotel that you paid to stay at. You have to pay to use the swimming pool which is unfair. The arcades are very outdated and most of the machines didn't work and just took our money, when we asked the staff for help with it we were told there was nothing they could do until someone else was there the next morning and no one was, so we lost our money on the machines.the rooms were very outdated, our window in our room was broken and we had a wind whistling through all night with a breeze you could just push it and it opened, also our door didn't lock from the inside so our toddler just kept opening the door and running into the hallways, we had to block the from the inside with his pram. The bed was the hardest most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, the bunk beds were so squeaky every time my son moved in the night it woke everyone up,
Proximity to the tunnel
Needs renovation
Het ontbijt was prima
De verouderde hotelkamer erg basic
It's right by the beach
Very dated and grubby looking.
Never got any sleep at night there was a couple fighting most of the night, police arrived to calm it down security would not come and sort it out. Room wasn't clean no quilt cover on the duvet.
Everything
This wasn't the first time we had stayed at this hotel but I can honestly say it was the worst when it came to the food. Our stay was for 3 nights, arriving Fri and leaving Mon. There are two restaurants to eat in, the Harbour and the Victoria, the latter being for those staying in a premier room which we have always booked, although on one occasion one wasn't available and a normal room was so small. On our first night (Friday) we came down at 18.00 being told that was when it opened only to find it had opened earlier and there was already a queue waiting for a table. After a 15 minute wait we decided to eat in the Harbour, although the food is exactly the same the restaurant resembles a works canteen or an old holiday camp dinning area unlike the Victoria which isn't like that. However, we did receive complimentary drinks as an apology. So back to the food. Each night we had the same choices when it came to cold desserts, trifle, jelly, and a chocolate sponge thing. On the Sunday one of our party came down a little later than us at 9.40 and was told there were no more fried eggs (restaurant closes at 10am) the same thing happened on Monday morning when there were no fried eggs at all and everyone was complaining. I know its hard to keep food pipping hot at a buffet without it then overcooking but some of the food was warm at best. The sunday carvery was probably the best days food. The lifts also kept breaking down and on one occasion only 2 of the four were operating and being the housekeeping staff have to use them as well, meant a long wait sometimes. I can honestly say the food had been a lot better on previous visits, after all everyone has bad days and we will return again next year.
I m really enjoy my time ,also my pets love this place particularly balcony :) feel super relax, staff is very helpful. Lovely breakfast. I m super happy , definitely visit again.
Unfortunately I didn't see anything what I don't like it . room is little bit back dated but I love it. 💕
Nothing
The whole place is falling apart!
Lights in the room not working some flickering then all lights going off, there was a smell of cannabis in the hallway, lifts out of service, fire alarms falling out of the ceiling I can safely say to avoid and this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed
j'ai tout aimé, l'emplacement, le rapport qualité prix, la chambre spacieuse, la bouilloire, le café dans la chambre
je n'avais pas la vue sur la mer et l'immeuble a besoin d'être défraichit
