We enjoyed our room, big enough for two, more like a condo. Our anniversary we went to the restaurant (The Whiskey bar) on site, the food was excellent, our waiter Frederic was a gem. Really enjoyed our evening. Enjoyed kayaking, the beach and the hot tub
The only thing is a minor detail, would be nice to have salt and pepper and a little more pot and pans in the room (condo).
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life. If you value your money, your hygiene, and your family’s comfort, DO NOT STAY HERE.
Our nightmare started upon arrival. We reached the hotel at 7:00 AM. Knowing we had a young child with us, we politely asked if an early check-in was possible. For the next 9 hours—at 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, and onward—we were repeatedly stone-walled by an incredibly resentful, miserable, and uncooperative front desk agent who seemed to be taking out their personal career frustrations on paying guests. They dogmatically held our room until exactly 4:00 PM. Charging full price for a meager 19-hour stay (4 PM check-in to 11 AM check-out) is ridiculous enough, but making a family wait for 9 hours with zero empathy is purely malicious.
But the real shock came when we finally entered the room. It was absolutely repulsive. The room was ancient, filthy, and neglected:
Severe Lack of Hygiene: The bedsheets, room floor, and bathroom were incredibly dirty. It felt like sleeping on the street. They didn't even provide basic, cheap disposable slippers, expecting us to walk barefoot on disgusting floors.
Insect Infestation: The mosquito screen on the balcony was completely torn. As a result, the room was swarming with mosquitoes all night, making it impossible for my family to sleep. The balcony and its chairs were covered in grime.
Broken Amenities: The showerhead was completely broken, spraying water like a chaotic garden hose.
Unbearable Lobby: You couldn't even sit in the lobby for a single minute because of the overwhelming, toxic smell of chlorine coming from the pool area.
The next day, we confronted a different staff member at the front desk. To our absolute astonishment, they openly admitted, "Yes, we know about all these issues, but management is fully aware and simply refuses to do anything about it."
Nice lake view
Degraded facilities and staff not very happy. Expensive for what you get. Long check in.
The view.
Nothing
The old vintage feeling; quietness; staff friendliness; facilities: beach access, pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub; closeness to the village.
Nothing!
