Normally, I am a Hilton fan, but I won’t book another Hilton property after this experience. I’ve been to 20 countries and 30 states, and travel frequently. Single worst experience I’ve had with hotel staff.
Overwhelmed with hotel and restaurant choices then came upon Hilton Garden Inn. Immediately got to drop car off at valet, then walked in and was greeted by Danny at the front desk who was happy to give us all sorts of lovely recommendations! Thankful for him taking the time to help two overwhelmed parents and providing his insider knowledge, helpfulness, and personable recommendations while visiting this beautiful city!
Clean and well maintained
Our room was facing Bay St and was EXPOSED NOISY. On a weekend night it is VERY difficult to sleep.
Breakfast should have been included!
Good location, friendly staff, comfortable
Very loud at night, cars racing every night and people yelling. We got no sleep. The room was cleaned once, we had to ask for towels and coffee every day, ran out of toilet paper, tissues, body wash and was not restocked. Trash was not taken out.
Fairly good location and the venue in general is quite OK.
They promised us to check in in a certain room and when we got there, they gave the room to somebody else. They tried to say they were gonna give us some points, but not cool.
Nice staff
To much noise in room. Extra fees, no simple breakfast, high paying cost only valet... But they were very nice.
Great view great room great staff
Hotel was very nice and convenient for solo business traveler.
Valet person Kiersten was extremely helpful to me as I arrived from out of town. She was very friendly and attentive to my concerns of checking in before my business meeting.
Close walking proximity to where you want to go in Savannah!
The hotel was very clean and centrally located. We didn’t need a car! The women at the front were friendly and accommodating. Initially I requested an early check in but the room was not ready. Latasha Jones made an extra effort to go to the room to find out why and then blessed us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary!! She always greeted everyone that entered with a smile making you feel welcomed!! Kabrea always was very friendly and helpful! I would recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Very clean, nice people, close to everything.
Pool could use some work.
Location was perfect. Close enough to walk Downtown Savannah.

Went to Savannah for a long weekend, arriving at this hotel at 2:00 pm. A very uncaring person at the front desk let me know that while our room was ready, check-in was not until 4:00. We could however, occupy it early for an additional $25.00. I understand reaching for ancillary income but this seems excessive. Paid the $25.00 and went to our room. A decent floor plan. The door closer and the safe was broken. Not a big deal and we didn't report it. Went to bed about 11:00 every night and the road noise from West Bay Street was incredible. Saturday night, they even had drag racing, literally 10 feet from our hotel window. We could not sleep.
A good note, their breakfast, cooked to order was amazing. The hotel was also located near the River Street restaurants and bars. A very close walk. We would stay there again but only if our room did not front West Bay Street.
They appeared to have a nice fitness center and a nice, 2nd floor pool and hot tub area.
Would stay there again if not on West Bay. They need to back off of the $25.00 early occupancy surcharge.
Stayed here on road trip home to Florida. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean. In a great location with plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Would definitely recommend.
Had a great stay at the Hilton in the Savannah Historic District. Especially wanted to shout out Kabrea at the front desk for being so kind and helpful!!!!!
I booked through a third party site (do not recommend), and when I arrived around 9-10 pm there was no record of my reservation in their system. It turned into a pretty stressful situation that took a while to sort out with the booking company, but Kabrea was so calm, patient, and sweet through the entire thing. She did everything she could to help get it resolved, which I really appreciated after a long travel day.
After everything was figured out, the rest of my stay was great! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location for exploring Savannah.
