Beautiful location on the highest hill in Lisbon surrounded by a castle! Our room was perfect with windows and doors that lead in the fresh air! Peacocks roam the property making it feel like a fairytale! Oh, and did I mention the breakfast! It was more than superb and I’m so sorry. I slept in the following day and missed it altogether. Jet lag!
Just a short, but lovely walk into town. Would definitely recommend it Solar de Castelo!!!

Klid uprostřed turistického ruchu. Malé drobnosti, které zlepší den (občerstvení, káva, večer prosecco, nebo portské na pokoji). Skvělý transfer z letiště zahrnutý v ceně. Možnost bezlepkového chleba na snídani.

Located right next to the castle. Comfortable beds and nice bedding. Free sparkling wine from 6pm. Roaming peacocks are very cute. Very clean. Access to cold water and snacks at all times.
Breakfast was very basic. Walls between rooms were quite thin so could hear the people next to me quite a lot. Decor could be improved, it feels a bit dated.

Exceptional property- we enjoyed everything about it. Wonderful staff, courtyard was great for lounging and it was fun to watch the peacocks, enjoyed pastries and coffee that were always available, complementary wine before dinner, comfortable rooms, incredible location. This was our favourite hotel during 6 weeks in Europe.

Quiet comfortable hotel in a beautiful location near the castle. Large private courtyard with peacocks wandering from the nearby park. Great breakfast. Excellent bathroom. Daily room cleaning 10/10
Uphill hike to get to this place & Uber stopping max 500 metres requiring walking narrow ascending streets.
Location 20 min walk to centre. Clean , staff were nice. 24 hour tea coffee and snacks available. Port wine in the room. Loved those peacocks.
