Lovely
Pros:

Intimate hotel located in the heart of the old town next to the castle. Rooms nice overlooking a courtyard garden and a partial river room. Flannels provided, which is a rarity in most hotels these days.
Tea, coffee and snacks available all day, including wine at night as the hotel doesn’t provide a food service other than at breakfast due to the amount of restaurants in the area.

Beautiful oasis.
Pros:

A beautiful property, plus my room was large and luxurious. The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. Delicious breakfast.

Cons:

Not a lot of natural light in my room specifically, but it was so beautifully appointed, that it didn’t affect my stay at all.

Really nice hotel in a great location, but a little more attention to detail needed.
Pros:

Excellent location. Small boutique hotel with only 20 rooms.

Cons:

A little bit more attention to detail would have made this a 10/10 score. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms - instead they are all on a table in main lounge area together with a selection of cakes/pastries. You just help yourself all day. However, at times staff a little slow to replace items. Similar story at breakfast, had to wait 15 mins one morning for the scrambled eggs to be replaced.

Great experience, feels like living in the castle
Pros:

Great hospitality, went above and beyond to help us with our logistics.
Amazing courtyard, great rooms,peacocks visit the property. Thanks for the complimentary port wine and all day snacks. Breakfast spread was tooo tooo good.

Cons:

Only taxi can reach the property, Uber not allowed.

Our last night in Portugal, it was a lovely stay especially with the castle next door it was the perfect spot to walk in
Pros:

Loved the architecture and design. The beautiful tile and mix of old and new furnishings. It is very clean and well run.

Cons:

The fact that it is such a hassle to get to by uber. In fact you must take a taxi, even then you may not get all the way up due to delivery trucks.
