Vila Gale Collection Praia

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Vila Gale Praia. This hotel is located close to a lovely sandy beach, the food was really good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It is a very quiet location with a few restaurants close by and Albufeira is a taxi ride away which is much livelier. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely return when visiting Portugal again.

Our third year of visiting this tranquil hotel and,on our return home we have immediately booked for next year. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming which fits in with the ambience of the hotel
The grounds are immaculate and there is seldom a problem with finding a sunbed. The evening menu had changed this year and there were some strange combinations on the menu. However, the option of changing your evening meal for a pizza at lunchtime is good.
If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday, then look no further.

Very relaxing place. Staff are of the highest caliber, excellent English and so helpful. For a relaxing poolside holiday look no further. Very close to the beach and 4 restaurants within a 5 min stroll

We have just returned from a weeks stay. We really enjoyed the hotel. On arrival we were greeted at the kerb by Ricardo on reception, he made us feel very welcome with complimentary tea and ice cold towels.The hotel is very clean and quiet, wonderful pool and sunbeds with cabanas as well.
We were on half board and we did find the food in the restaurant was not quite to our taste and at times it was difficult to know what to choose. We would have preferred something with fresh salads and vegetables to accompany the meat or fish. Breakfast however was good with a really good selection and a wonderful egg station freshly prepared. The hot selection of food was sometimes not hot enough although there was a hotplate.
The rooms were comfortable and the air conditioning excellent. Nice sea view and wonderful sunset from our balcony. We will return.

The staff were excellent. The hotel, pool area are kept very clean, rooms are cleaned and towels are changed daily. Very peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of sunbeds. Restaurants are very good. It’s in a quiet surrounding area. Very close to the lovely clean beech which also has 3 restaurants. Prices for food and drink are very reasonable.

What a beautiful hotel,i was greeted by friendly staff. Immaculate throughout,my room was beautiful and spacious with Aircon and a Balcony beautiful décor. There is a pool which is immaculate.The food was lovely and had an a la carte menu which had a great choice of local and British food and had a Italian restaurant a 1 minute walk from the hotel I could use as part of the package. The beach is a five minute walk from the hotel,and upon my leaving after a wonderful stay I was given a lunch box for my journey home as I was leaving missing my breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here at fantastic value for money.I will definitely be visiting here again. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Eine sehr gut ausgestattete und gepflegte Anlage mit freundlichem Personal. Große Zimmer, empfehlenswert mit Pool-Blick. Sehr freundlicher Empfang mit Freigetränk und Weinflasche zur Probe. Pool, Garten und Zimmer extrem sauber und gepflegt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, aber mit guter Erreichbarkeit von Strand, guten Lokalen und mehr.

Hotel is small and very quiet. We had a pool side room on the first floor which was great because the pool access was easy. Our room was spacious. Not much room to hang your clothes or store them. We asked for a kettle and got it. We only drank coffee, but for some reason, we got extra amount of tea bags. We also had a welcoming bottle of local wine, but since we do not drink alcohol, I asked the reception to collect it and bring some non-alkohol drink instead. It was promised, but never delivered. Also we had a tea light candle in the room, lovely, but since we don’t smoke, we could not light it. I did mention this to a staff member, and we were promised to give a lighter, but it never appeared. We were on a half board and really enjoyed the Massa Fina Italian restaurant! Also breakfast was delish! Dinner at the main restaurant was inconsistent: some dishes were very good but some disappointing. The location of the hotel is lovely if you want to stay close to the beaches and a bit farther away from the hustle and bustle of Albufeira city (7 km away). Our check out was the something which unfortunately ruins the stay. The day before our departure we asked if it is necessary to order a taxi beforehand and we were told not to, since it arrives in 5-10 minutes and costs 60 euros. When we checked out, there was a very rude person who told us that we should have booked the transportation a day ahead. This person started to push for the answer: who told you this etc and told us that it would take 30-40 minutes to get this ride. It was very uncomfortable. I asked to order a regular taxi which this person said to be very very expensive (emphasizing the costliness). We got the taxi and it actually cost 56 euros. What made me feel worse was to see how this person handled the customers after us. They were given smiles and thank yous and such a kind service. The other personnel however were super nice, even though we did not always got what was promised to us.

Ich hatte als Alleinreisende einen traumhaften Aufenthalt im Vila Gale.
Mein Late-Check In war sehr unkompliziert, das gesamte Personal war super lieb und freundlich und hat mir zu jeder Zeit mit einem Lächeln meine Fragen beantwortet. Das Hotel ist absolut sauber und schön gestaltet, ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Poolblick, welches perfekt für mich war. Man kann direkt von der eigenen Terasse an den Pool, was suuuper praktisch ist :-) Die tägliche Reinigung war zuverlässig, der Pool und die Gartenanlage sehr gepflegt und ich hatte das vermutlich beste Hotel-Frühstück seit langem. Von frischem Obst und Gemüse, Smoothies, Säfte, über eine große Auswahl an Wurst/Käse, Kaffee/Tee wird serviert, täglich Kuchen, Waffeln, Pancakes und sogar selbstgemachter Joghurt. Das Highlight ist eine frische Ei-Station, wo man sich Spiegelei, Omelette etc. zubereiten lassen kann.
Das Meer und der schöne Strand ist fußläufig nur 3min. entfernt. Ich bin vom Hotel aus gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und Bolt/Uber herumgekommen - man ist in 5min. an der Marina in Albufeira für diverse Trips, 10min. in der Altstadt Albufeira, 30min. in Ferragudo/Portimao.

Alle Mitarbeitenden haben stets mit mir geplaudert und mich gefragt wie es mir geht. Das gibt's natürlich in vielen Hotels, aber hier hatte ich speziell das Gefühl, dass sie es nicht machen, weil es ihr Job ist, sondern weil es wirklich einfach herzliche Menschen sind. Ich habe alles an diesem Urlaub geliebt, selten hab ich mich so wohl gefühlt.
