Heel comfortabel en gezellig hotel met een prima restaurant en toffe pub. Mooi ingerichte kamer met Heel goed bed en prachtige badkamer.

This place is a little Gem. Great location in a small quaint village. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly.

Warm welcome, cosy and stylish pub and delicious food
Was surprised that the shower was in the bedroom and therefore visible from the bed.
Given my wife's varied food allergies, the young man who attended to us in the evenings gave us phenomenal service! He expressed understanding, was patient and kind, and worked creatively with the kitchen to come up with options for her. The outdoor and garden dining options were very lovely, and the food was consistent and very good Off-street parking was a plus, but get there early.
Upon arrival, we saw the blind in our room was broken on one side, and was left hanging crooked. I was able to do a quick remedial fix that should have been able to have been done rather easily by the room attendant.
The young woman at the front desk who checked us in was not the most friendly and welcoming. She was obviously just there to perform her duty,...and that, without a smile. Fortunately that was not our experience with the dining staff.

An amazing stay overall - the hotel exceeded my expectations from the photos provided. Beautifully quaint. Our room was larger than expected and designed very well and beautifully - the decor was lovely. The hotel earns top marks for their food which was exceptional - breakfast each morning was delicious (including the continental and cooked (especially the cooked) - they did have a walnut loaf on show without a label and being allergic to tree nuts this wasn't ideal but i could visibly see the nuts though not the point)). Dinner each night was also incredible - from the fresh oysters, to the pea and wild garlic soup and the homemade pie. Their Sunday roasts were perfect. The hotel had everything you need and i couldn't recommend enough - we saw some Morris dancing in the town on the Saturday which was amazing too.
The hotel catered for dogs which is amazing, but my I did feel my asthma flare up at night when sleeping, which I can only assume is due to dogs having been in the room previously. Both a fan and heating were provided but it would have been nice to be able to open the windows and get some fresh air - i couldn't seem to open them.

Atmosphere and food quality was high
Room was noisy as it overlooked the restaurant and some bad smell was coming out of the drains.
Quaint and friendly atmosphere. Staff was amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were made well.

I would say ‘on the shabby side of chic’. Temperature in the small room hotter than anywhere else in the building or outside. Sash window fully open did not help as there was a tatty Roman blind across the opening and no way of raising it. Loo seats both in the room and downstairs slid around. All gave the impression of an organisation that relied of the charm of an old building to avoid maintenance. When I complained to the staff about the ventilation nothing was done so I had to pull the blind off to get any sleep.

It was a very clean property. Staff were all very friendly . The food was lovely a great choice for breakfast and for dinner.
