Very relaxing but could have been better.
Pros:

Fantastic swimming pool area. Lovely exotic garden setting.

Cons:

No kettles in the room. No minibus shuttle to and from the centre of the town. Local bus service was infrequent and finished at 9pm. Taxis were expensive, €20 each way. If you choose to walk it takes 30minutes.

Location da sogno
Pros:

Struttura magnifica che profuma di storia piacevolmente ristrutturata senza snaturarne l’essenza. Tutto ci ha meravigliato, dalla suite Clementine vista mare con balcone alla nuovissima zona piscina, gli arredi antichi che portano indietro nel tempo, il parco secolare che si affaccia sulle latomie, il personale cortese e l’ottima colazione nella spettacolare sala da pranzo. Se torneremo a Siracusa sceglieremo di nuovo questa struttura.

Convenient location with plenty of parking, comfortable and relaxing environment
Pros:

Wonderful historical property in a grand setting. Rooms were cool, quiet and comfortable. Pool was welcome to cool off during hot afternoons.

Cons:

A car is needed unless you take taxis or a 39 minute walk to resort centre

Pros:

Nydelig hotell og uteområder. Helt nydelig å bade ved klippene, men prisen for solsenger der var uten rabatt selv om vi bodde på hotellet.

Cons:

Jeg savnet kort vei til dagligvare, og det var kjedelig at bussen sluttet å gå tidlig på kvelden. Men kort vei til busstopp.

Beautiful grounds and a fantastic pool, but the rooms could do with updating.
Pros:

The grounds of this hotel are absolutely stunning. The old limestone quarry and beautifully landscaped gardens make it feel really unique, and the outdoor areas are by far the highlight of the stay. The pool is fantastic, and we loved being able to order delicious arancini and drinks without leaving our sunbeds.

A special mention has to go to Alessio, who looked after us so well by the pool. He kept us fed and watered throughout the day and makes an excellent Aperol Spritz!

Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of choice and something for everyone.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the rooms don’t quite match the beauty of the outside. They felt quite small and dark, and the bathrooms are in need of updating. The shower was particularly disappointing – it was difficult to get a consistent temperature, and several of the jets weren’t working properly.

We also would have loved to have had a balcony to dry swimwear and towels after using the pool.

The pool could really do with a clean.

Overall, the hotel’s outdoor spaces are spectacular and make for a wonderful stay, but the bedrooms and bathrooms would really benefit from some renovation to bring them up to the same standard and restore the property’s charm.

Prima hotel
Pros:

Fijn dat er een zwembad was en dat het rustig lag. Wel stukje rijden naar Ortigia maar goed te doen. Kamers zijn verder prima.

Cons:

Ontbijt had niet altijd vers brood personeel werkt hard om alles aan te vullen maar er is te weinig personeel. Zag bij eindafrekening een drankje afgeschreven uit de ijskast die ik zelf had meegenomen beetje jammer dat ik dat pas zag toen we al uitgecheckt waren.

Bellissima struttura, immersa nel verde.
Staff molto attento e veloce nella gestione di cambio camera che non risultava di mio gradimento.
Inoltre per scusarsi dell'inconveniente abbiamo ricevuto un presente molto gradito.

Pros:

vecchio hotel pieno di stile. La colazione è OK, servita in una sala con atmosfere gattopardesche. La piscina è piacevole e lo staff molto disponibile. Nell'insieme un'esperienza molto positiva a prezzi onesti per la categoria

Cons:

Forse l'unica cosa è la (relativa) distanza da Ortigia, circa 20-30 minuti a piedi.
