Pros:

Der persönliche Service war so gut wie immer.
Man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben. Die Lage ist ebenfalls perfekt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

The Imperial Hotel treats you royally.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance to main attractions. The room itself was gorgeous. Definitely stepping back in time. The architecture was stunning. Breakfast was delicious, good selection. Anita, the front office manager was extremely helpful in all aspects of our stay. Whether it was questions regarding the room or advise on how to get somewhere, she was very accommodating to our requests. We will definitely be back.

Cons:

We really did not experience anything negative.

No Hot Water
Pros:

Checked in at 3pm for a week long stay and checked out four hours later due to no hot water in our suite. This may have been luxurious in the 1980’s, but it’s FAR from it today….tired, deferred maintenance, and did I mention NO HOT WATER? Arrival began with the doormen dropping both our bags onto the street (with no apologies). Nothing worse than traveling 15 hours to have no hot water in your $800 per night hotel. As a decades long Marriott Bonvoy member, I’ve visited Courtyard by Marriotts that were cleaner, better maintained and had HOT WATER. My wife and I visit Europe every spring and enjoy great hotels…Le Meurice in Paris, Claridges in London, the Balmoral in Edinburgh, the St Regis in Rome, etc. The Imperial is in nowhere near the same level, not even close. Go elsewhere like we did…after only four hours.

Pros:

Excellent petit déjeuner , digne d’un 5*!

Délicieuse soupe aux asperges ( au soir, servi au Café Impérial Wien)

Atmosphère de jazz avec des cocktails insolites( et très chers, c’est vrai)

Cons:

Le fait que le montant total avait déjà été bloqué dès les premiers instants de notre arrivée.
Et, malgré le fait que j’ai insisté à plusieurs reprise de tout débloquer, 2x le jour de départ même, ça n’a pas été fait que 2 jours après que nous soyons partis..
Après 3 téléphones depuis la Belgique ( non, ce n’était pas que le jour férié..ils avaient oublié qu’on était en train de payer ..2x

Ceci dit, ça a été un petit séjour tout simplement inoubliable !

A memorable stay in a sumptuous hotel.
Pros:

Location is excellent. Breakfast is very good, breakfast room and outside terrace absolute tops. The building and its history are a rarity and it is magnificent. The bed was one of the very best I have ever encountered. And front desk staff is very helpful, arranged for castle visit and train tickets.

Pros:

Frühstück und Lage könnten nicht besser sein. Beim Abendessen am 19. waren die Schnitzel optimal,besser als im Sacher, das Ambiente und die Hintergrundmusik eher trist.

Concierge Herr Fischer ist einfach der Beste! Vielen Dank für die Organisation der Tickets für das Ballett Giselle in der ersten Reihe sowie für die vielen wertvollen Tipps. Auch die Dame an der Rezeption war ausserordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit (leider habe ich ihren Namen vergessen). Herzlichen Dank für den hervorragenden Service!
