Such a gem!
Pros:

My boyfriend and I just came home from 4 glorious nights at La Plantation. To keep it short and sweet- we loved this place. Boutiquey, quirky, quiet, clean and friendly. Our bungalow was up in the hills a 5 minute walk to the Plantation pool and lobby, a 10 minute lively walk down to the cutest beachfront area with a
Courtyard full of shops and restaurants all of which had incredible menus with food and drink to match. The room
Had cathedral ceilings, a huge porch with complete panoramic ocean views. Room was updated, comfortable and clean. Also had a fridge, sink, stove and microwave, admittedly not used! Just loved it here. Orient beach was nice but we spent a couple days at Anse Marcel and one day in Anguilla. St. Martin is spectacular in every way. Already planning our trip back here for next year. If you’re looking for quiet, tranquility, this is your place. But a short walk away and you’ll find beach bars, restaurants, live music, djs and dancing on the beach. Win win. Don’t hesitate!

Pros:

Clean and comfortable spacious room. Beautiful view and veranda. Good breakfast.

Cons:

The pool hours are restricted by the restaurant so it closes at 5pm most days.

Overall it was a good time.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was spacious and clean . We had a sea view. However, it couldn’t been a nicer view if not blocked by palm trees. The breakfast was very good with a lot choices. The coffee wasn’t the best. They need to spray for mosquitoes since my husband was eaten up. The walk from the hotel to the beach is a bit of a hike but doable.
Be careful about renting a car from the hotel. Our rental car advisor, Michaud , who is very difficult to understand , informed us that the car needed to be filled up when the car was returned which is the normal process for returning a car. He showed us that the car had 4 bars of gas in the tank so we assumed that the tank was full. After only driving from orient bay to Philipsburg and back we filled the tank up and thought it was strange at the amount of gas that the car took. The car now had 8 bars of gas. When we returned the car we asked Michaud for a refund for the extra fuel and he said that it was not possible. It appears to us that someone is running a scam.

Our stay was wonderful!
Pros:

The beach was a short walk from our hotel room, it was very peaceful location. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was tasty, especially the bacon.

The coffee was not great.
