Excellent stay!
Pros:

The free upgrade to the suite was an amazing surprise! The staff were nice and helpful, and the rooftop bar was lovely too.

Cons:

The front doors were not automatic. The lane leading to the property let it down too. No coffee machine in the room either and two tiny little milks (needed much more).

Overall really great hotel, nice little spa and gym, rooftop is awesome, staff is nice, great rooms.

Cons:

Medium quality of the product served for breakfast, especially fruits, juices, and cold meats. Cold pools.

Matige ervaring
Pros:

Locatie is top. Voor het hotel en in wat straten verder op gaan met hoge frequentie bussen naar het centrum van Funchal. In de omgeving van het hotel zijn ook goede restaurants te vinden. Het zwembad is mooi en groot.

Cons:

Het hotel geeft de indruk van vergane glorie. Het ontbijt was oké, maar niet super. Veel eten is droog of ligt lange tijd klaar. Direct aan het hotel grenzend worden bouwwerkzaamheden uitgevoerd. Wij keken direct op de bouwplaats. Er wordt elke dag gewerkt van 08.00-20.00u en er is veel geluidsoverlast. We zijn vooraf niet door het hotel hierover geïnformeerd. Klachten hierover worden niet opgepakt. Parkeren kost €15 per dag op een onmogelijk kleine parkeerplaats, waar je alleen terecht kan als er plaats is, ook al heb je er voor betaald. Parkeergarages in de omgeving rekenen 4-6€ per 24u.

Durchschnittliches Hotel mit Meerblick und ordentlichem Anstieg vom Meer aus
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war seeeehr geräumig. Es gab ausreichend Schränke mit viel Platz und auch im Bad genügend Ablagefläche. Die Pools und die Dachterrasse sind sehr schön.
Die Allergene sind beim Essen gut markiert.

Cons:

Wenn man das Hotel betritt, kommt einem direkt ein muffiger Geruch entgegen , auch in den Zimmern.
Es gab ein großes Buffet, aber die Auswahl an Glutenfreiem ist leider sehr gering. Jeden Tag das gleiche Brot und verschiedene Muffins, und nicht viel glutenfreies für darauf. Aber gutes Müsli. Auf der Dachterrasse (7. Stock) befindet sich der Jacuzzi, der leider weit entfernt ist von den beiden Pools (Parterre und -1).
Direkt nebenan ist eine Baustelle und dem entsprechend Baulärm.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und alles da.
Das Personal sehr freundlich.
Am ersten Tag war unser Zimmer hinten raus obwohl mit Meerblick gebucht. Blick direkt auf eine laute Baustelle nächsten Tag Meerblick im Familienzimmer. Als Entschädigung gab es ei Abendessen mit einem Getränk.

Cons:

Gewichtswage bei der Rezeption für das Reisegepäck.
Einwurf 1 € fas finde ich müsste unter Kundenservice fallen.
Das Badezimmer ist schon in die Jahre gekommen.
Im Fernsehen einen Wunschfilm um 17€ auch für Kinderfilme.
