The location was lovely, staff very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good. I found the bed very comfortable.
I was on the third floor, a lot of stairs for my old dog. Shower not adjustable height settings and room very warm.
Beautiful peacefull place
They really need to learn to make better pizza :)
Everything was excellent
Nothing
Nice grounds
I’m a non smoker and people smoking and calling outside the front of the hotel and cigarette butts on the floor out me off sitting and eating outside
Food was very edible.
View from front of hotel seating fabulous.
Bar and breakfast staff cheerful.
Room was too hot (extreme weather), but at least we were provided with a fan to make it bearable.
Room did not have a view (overlooking a flat roof) but the window was small and we had to keep the curtains closed) a bit claustrophobic daytime.
Replenishing of breakfast dishes not very efficient people left waiting for things quite often.
Breakfast was nice, but on day 3 as we did not visit as early as previous days little choice remained as it was not topped up.
Poor state of general areas, stairs, i am 63, i was located up in the roof with no lift. The stairs were dirty carpets and rooms poorly ventilated.
Beds good spacious
Hotel needs a lot of work done
Very shabby
Paintwork on doors and walls around hotel
Fixtures not in good condition
Hotel no character
Not all Staff helpful approachable
Cups glasses trays of room service supplies left outside doors the whole afternoon evening we were there and still there in the morning- aweful to see.
Damp smell in lounge on arrival
Two big screens on reception with staff hiding behind and no greeting of welcome by Asian staff. Young lad very helpful later. We did not get rooms together with elderly mother as requested when I booked in April?
Fan we had in room was useless on the hottest night of year so far I did not sleep most of the night. Look at picture of our room window - shocking.
No incentive to stay for breakfast. I have to be honest
Open outlook
Recalls the ‘golden age’ of hotel developments still with personal attention, ease and comfort
The best part of this hotel is pet-friendly, with a massive grass area for my dog to explore, and it is so sweet to receive a dog welcome pack. The price is fair.
The privilege room I stayed in didn't provide slippers or bathrobes. Just found out on the checkout day, which my family member told me.
Nice building, large sitting areas
Disabled room allocated no 117 was the furthest from entrance you could get. There were many fire doors to get through and far from easy when struggling with suitcase etc.
Called reception as TV wouldn’t work and I wanted to watch the news before bed. I was told someone would be straight along but no one came. I called again as per photo and was told the person I spoke to had left reception and forgotten about me.
The second person I spoke to eventually turned up, went away, returned with new TV and still couldn’t get it to work. It turned out the wall socket did not work. On the hottest night we had to unplug the fan to enable TV plug to be moved. By the time this was done an hour had passed.
Comfy bed and quiet stay near family
Very tired and communal areas need a freshen up and common theme
