Beautiful old charm wine estate very well kept, beautiful grounds, great food, very attentive staff.
Pros:

Surroundings were peaceful and very pretty. Breakfast choices were plenty and very good.

Disappointed in the room! Not worth the money.

Beautiful area and buildings

Cons:

The room was supposed to have a view. It had none. The blinds in the room didn’t work properly and the blockout blinds are hanging too far from wall. Bright lights outside room were bothersome. Bed very uncomfortable. Tv very small and not usable from bed. Picture quality of tv very bad. Had to shift the bath myself because the tap ran onto the edge of the bath and not into it.

A Luxurious stay

Our stay was very enjoyable and an absolute treat! I little slice of heaven to soften the harsh reality of the world. The service is top class!

Amazing hotel with elegance and refinement
Pros:

Lanzerac is simply stunning. I was recommended it by a friend and so pleased we booked. From the moment you arrive, everything about this place feels effortless.

The vibes are absolutely immaculate. There’s a timeless, unhurried elegance to the whole estate that’s hard to put into words but impossible to miss. The rooms are gorgeous — beautifully appointed and the sort of space you genuinely don’t want to leave.

The food is excellent, the wine even more so (as you’d hope from one of the Cape Winelands’ most iconic estates). Whether you’re sitting on the terrace with a glass in hand or settling in for a proper dinner, every moment feels considered and indulgent.

But the real standout was the service — warm, attentive, and genuinely world-class. Linford in particular deserves a special mention. He went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal and memorable, and it’s exactly that kind of care that elevates a great hotel into an unforgettable one.

If you’re heading to Stellenbosch, don’t think twice. Lanzerac sets the bar.

We had excellent therapists who understood our needs. They were professional and pleasant. We’ve been to many spa’s around the world and this experience is rated similar to some of the international spas we visited.

Amazing hotel and top service
Pros:

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. The location was perfect, the room was fantastic and the food and wine were excellent.
The included wine tasting was a great bonus and the tour of the cellar was brought to life by our amazing guide Lucky.

Ultra Luxurious stay
Pros:

An unforgettable experience, they truly ensure every part of the stay is perfect. The rooms are certainly one of the best in the country with all the amenities you may need. Bathrooms are large spacious and crystal clean. Staff are hospitality masters ensuring each encounter leaves you in a better space. Another fabulous stay
Pros:

We returned for a 3 night visit and it was as superb as the previous year and with the added benefit of the beautifully appointed spa (under renovation last year). We so enjoyed the indoor heated pool and well equipped gym as well as the very high standard of light lunches offered in their Vitality Corner restaurant. Overall the wonderful rooms, wonderful staff and high standard of meals throughout the various restaurants makes for a perfect stay and we look forward to visiting next year.
