Disappointed by location and road noise
Pros:

Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Cons:

This hotel is 2km from Banff. That is not obvious in any advertising. The rooms facing the major highway are noisy, and affected my sleep.

The hotel is special in its design. The bistro is gorgeous and the food is incredible. The staff are lovely. We enjoyed

The location was incredible. So convenient to Banff yet not right in the middle. Great access to walking/ hiking. Gorgeous view of the mountains.

Cons:

The room was lacking for the price paid. Especially the shower. Very very small and very dated. When standing in front/under the water there is not much room to move. The shower really needs to be updated. It’s like a motel shower. There is no mirror in the main room which is very odd. Charging stations are needed when guests are travelling.

Pros:

We loved the restaurant and it's menu. Along with the awesome view from the patio. It was also nice to be out of town instead of in the busy town.

Pros:

The location is good with wonderful mountains views. It’s just worth noting that there is a fair bit of noise from the highway. The bistro restaurant is excellent.

We had a good, not great, stay at the Juniper.
Pros:

We liked that it was just outside of Banff town center and tucked away on the hills with nature paths around. We liked the attention to archeology and the indigenous history of the area. Our room was comfortable.

Cons:

It felt overpriced for what it was. The "deluxe suite" was dark and noisy with the highway. Just not anything spectacular. The food at the restaurant was very good, but the service was super slow.
