Was awaken to the garbage truck opening gate, getting trash, then closing gate at six am.
Also, must have had a sleep apnea jndividual next to us as you could almost feel the breathes taken in and out.
This was our second time at the Georgetown Baymont. The Baymont chain falls on the lower end of the mid-tier range – higher than budget or economy, but not quite as polished as a Hampton Inn/Fairfield Inn/Holiday Inn Express. That said, I’ve been quite impressed with this location. While it’s nothing fancy, it fulfills its role well – better than some higher-end places I’ve been to recently.
From the outside, there’s nothing to distinguish the Baymont from the other nearby hotels. It is within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, which is helpful. However, the interior is very clean and well-kept. Hallways and common areas were well-maintained (and comfortable). The standard king room is on the smaller side, but spacious enough to comfortably hold a king bed, a sleeper sofa, desk, dresser, and luggage shelf. There was also the typical microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee-maker, along with ample closet space. Like the rest of the hotel, everything was clean and well-maintained. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but in good shape. And there was a vent fan – something that is missing in a lot of newer hotels. The hotel seemed fairly quiet, although it was a weeknight.
Breakfast was typical – eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, and the expected wafflemaker. Everything was well-prepared. They also have an assortment of cereal, toast, bagels, and muffins. The bagels and muffins were very small, so you may want to take several. The breakfast attendant was very good – she made sure everything was kept clean and stocked. The same was true for all the staff we interacted with – very helpful and friendly. We didn’t use the pool, but it also looked to be clean and well-kept as well.
As in a lot of cases, the rating here is affected by expectations. The Georgetown Baymont offers than many hotels of a similar class, and it does it well. The price is very good for the value received. All in all, that places it above average for this class hotel.

The Oder on the first floor was horrible. Carried into our first floor room.

We got there showered and was heading down to eat. The manager was in the elevator with us and I stopped on floor 2 and people complaing seeing bed bugs. So we got a refund and left and went home 4 hr drive
Everything was amazing. They jumped up and cleaned a room so me and my girls could have a room ASAP. Not a great situation with previous hotel.
