Size of room and location
Minor point but room could have done with a fridge
Check-in was friendly and quick. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel was clean for the most part. Check-out was also easy and quick, and the car parking ticket was validated, which helped.
We booked a "Deluxe King" room. What we got surprised and saddened me. First, the room smelled very damp. Second, the bed was quite small, given that we expected (naturally enough) a king. I enquired at reception and was given a very confusing response. I was told that because we used Booking.com, that room was all we could expect, despite the "Deluxe King" description. Third, we were right over the main thoroughfare, so the noise from the street lasted till the small hours. Fourth, our bath tub wouldn't drain, so when I took a shower in the morning, the water came up around my ankles.

It’s a lovely hotel and the staff were all super friendly and very nice, helpful too!
The floorboards need some serious work in the room I was in. It just made the stay a little uncomfortable.
The location is fabulous right in the heart of Waterford. We had a car so parked it out the back and left it there during our stay. The staff were all friendly. We’d bought some food with us and were supplied, on request, with a small bar fridge in our room
The aircon in the room didn’t work for the duration of our stay. We asked 5 times for it to be fixed however it seemed that no one in the hotel knew how to do anything about it. This was a little disappointing
The staff were so professional in there job. And special word off praise for front of house manager Caroline who helped to sort out our booking agreement brilliant she was

Location, food , service and staff was very good.
No available parking at the hotel gave rise to an additional cost in public parking and concern about security . Hair in the ensuite and something that looked like makeup on my pillow. This could / should have been better
